It delighted him for hours but once the hours ended he was filled with boredom. The sky, the weather, all well. The people, the side quests, all well. They were all alright. But they bored him. Killed him. No, if somebody sought to kill him that would be interesting.

Because then he'd be able to show the people of Hyrule how he could shut them down. And then, nobody would oppose his quality of combat. Ganon, who?

Even the Yiga Clan. Gosh, he couldn't give a damn. Same people, same weapons, same annoying laugh. One hit kills and they withdrew leaving bananas and change.

Link signed and rose from the dirt. He roamed the withered trail. Along it, nothing but creatures and adventurers. But something unusual caught his anxious eye. A dark-haired woman fluttering at him from a distance. "Ah, too easy," Link thought.

The woman from the tribe of traitors smiled forcefully when Link came closer. She knew what was next. Link thought he did too.

"Ah ha!" Poofs filled the surrounding area. Tens of members of the Yiga Clan circled around him. Tall buff ones with claymores, small skinny ones with double bows, and small ones with sickels. All around him, snickering. Cocky about their success.

Then he chuckled. Link, finally, he had something to do."

A moment later he was dropping about 2-3 bodies per minute. Blood was meandering through his veins and he had no crimson on the floor. He was immaculate and so precise he imagined Ganon in each, and in the last gang member. Then, he was driven down by an unjust stab. The devilish witch that drew him into his mess caught him in the clear with her sickle. And his blood spilled streams.

Then she left knowing if she remained she would indubitably be mangled. He laid on the dirt cringing. Link looked around and spotted the woman with black hair a short distance away. She had not left, she had settled to watch her cause-effect him.

"It was all my doing, obviously. Getting everyone in one place. Making sure you..." She held her forehead. "After you killed Master Kohga, My master, and my father, I needed to hear you suffer. But I'm still sane." She held up her blood covered sickle down to Link's head. The weapon almost felt supple as she scraped the sickle across his forehead, releasing blood. Then more of his rich blood spilled to the ground like royal course meals falling into the trash. It was so valuable before touching anything else, garbage.

The sickle disappeared from his forehead and the dull hair women pulled it up and Link shut his eyes.

But it never came back down. He could hear everything. The beast attacked her when she was fixated on her prey. It bit her by the collar until the blood choked her to death. Then the beast dropped her lifeless body.

Link, afraid that he was next locked his eyes and tried to crawl away but his gruesome wound kept him stagnant.

Then the beast grew arms and legs, a green tunic, a black wolf mask, and a sword and shield. That is what Link saw above him staring down.

The beast looked at the dead bodies of the Yiga Clan. Then he glared at the bite mark he made on the dark-haired female.

"It only takes one." Link didn't know what he was talking about.

"One mistake, One victory, One Wolf, One injury. All it takes is one before Hyrule starts vanishing." He extended his hands towards Link. "Come on, kid. Let's get you some help."

Saved By a Wolf.
