AN: I apologise for any terrible OOCness, but this story is based of something that actually happened to me, so I can only blame my failed attempts at fitting other characters into how I act in the world around me. The only real difference between this story and the actuall events is that I never crossed the road and talked to the car driver.
Disclaimer: I own nothing except the bus ticket I used when getting on the bus. The bus, the car, and the characters all belong to their respective owners. I'm just retelling an experience I had substituting Kingdom Hearts characters for real people.
This would be a day I would not forget for a long time. Of course, I couldn't know that as I waited at the bus interchange after school for my bus to come. It was pretty much like any other rainy day at the time. But things weren't going to remain that way for long.
As I hopped onto the bus I smiled at the driver, he had short-cropped blonde hair and his nametag read 'Luxord'. Nothing new to me, I saw him everyday when I caught this bus. I took a seat about halfway down the bus and settled in for a long, boring ride home. At the next bus stop a lot more people got on the bus; realising I would have to share the seat I moved my school bag onto my lap. One of my friends – Larxene – sat down next to me. I say 'friend' but I really mean friend of a friend who I sometimes talk to when I see her. However she started talking with her other friends on the bus and I didn't feel like butting in on their conversation.
The bus kept going until eventually it stopped at a red traffic light. It had been raining and the ground was wet so people should have been driving carefully, but apparently the red-haired P-plater in the car across the intersection hadn't received the memo. As he braked he lost control of his car and it started to skid across the intersection at an angle. He probably would have eventually managed to regain control of the can if it hadn't nose-dived driver-side first into the side of the bus. Fortunately, I guess, the angle the car was on caused it to just glance off the side of the bus and complete a 180 degree turn. The headlight and half the bumper were gone, but the driver hadn't been hurt and managed to drive the car off the road. The bus driver waited for a green light before driving across the intersection and up onto the side of the road there out of the way of the traffic.
Of course, we all had to get out of the bus. It had been part of an accident so the driver couldn't very well just drive us away, but still, it was raining and I was cold and wet. I don't mind being wet when I'm in a swimming pool or at the beach, but I really dislike being cold. Figuring that since I had been in a good seat to see what happened I should give the bus driver my details, you know, for if he needed me to give a witness statement or anything, I followed him across the road to where the red-haired driver had managed to get out of his car.
"Hey, are you alright?" Well he had just crashed his car into the side of a bus and I'm normally a pretty caring guy so it seemed like the right thing to ask. "I'm Demyx by the way, what's your name?"
The red-head just grinned at me and said one word: "Axel."
I'm not a nobody, so I love having my existence acknowledged. Please review, even if it's just to tell me my writing sucks. If you could tell me why it sucks and how to improve that would be even better. Thankyou!
