A sword was brought down in a straight line, aiming for the head of the white haired general. He spread his wings and blocked the blow.
The girl that stood in front of him, wielding the sword, would have been beautiful in any other circumstance. Black hair that reached an inch past her shoulder blades. Stunning green eyes that practically glowed. A face that held innocence, but the danger and hate she held for the man in front of shown clearly. Moonwatcher ; The NightWing herself.
"You're getting on my nerves." She spoke wiping the blue blood off of her sword. Moon swung again, her strikes precise and deadly.
The general ducked out of the way and grabbed the NightWing's sword. "That's the point." He twisted her arm so the sword was thrown into the air. Moon narrowed her eyes as the IceWing drew up and put his hand over her right eye. His hand glowed blue for a moment ; and then she felt unbearable pain.
It burned. It burned. It BURNED. So this was the deadly frost breath. Moon almost accepted her fate. Almost. She raised her hand as it twitched and spoke silently, "Sword."
The IceWing spat up blue blood as the sword impaled him through his chest. "You ... " He fell backward, Moon collapsing to her knees in front of his dead body.
She flopped to the side and thought, "Will I end up like those other ones? The one's who are completely white. Hair, pale skin, gray eyes... I don't want to end up like that."
However the frost was already biting at her skin and hair, she could feel it. The edge's of Moon's vision blurred, closing in at the center of her vision. The last thing she saw was a yellow speck yelling, "Moon! Moon?!"

When she woke up there was a constant and annoying beeping and something squeezing her hand too tightly. The familiar feeling of her wings were no longer there.
She cracked her eyes open, momentarily blinded by the bright lights. "Agh... Why's it so bright?"
"Moon!" A yellow blur sprung onto her. It took Moon a moment to realize who it was. "Qibli?" She winced and pushed him off. He laughed, "Man! You're so cold now!" Moon tilted her head, "Why would I be cold?"
He blinked at her, then he pulled up the chair next to the bed and sat on the back so he was facing her.
Qibli's face was suddenly serious. She didn't like this look. "Frost Breath. It's infected half of your body ... Your wings too. The general did too much damage to them, they would have been useless... So they were ... amputated." He stood up and opened the closet behind him, which had a mirror in the door.
What saw shocked her and she drew in a sharp breath.
The right side of her hair was completely white ; A stark contrast to the pitch black on the other side. Her green eye was now a light gray, white little traces of green. Her skin was notably paler.
"W-What in the world?"
