Unseen Tears

This is a poem my Elven-friend had tucked away in one of her "notebooks "; which are actually her collection of writings and musings of sorts- real deep stuff. I wanted to share it beacuse if there are any other "Otherkin" on this site, perhaps they could relate (if you do not know what I am talking about, read my profile). It is a really eye-opening poem, in a sad way. Dare you peek, dear reader, into the world of one who is truly different?

I am reaching out to you,
Through the walls of this body.
But my arms are not my heart,
My soul.

In the end you must find me.
In the center of my soul
Rests a fiercely glowing light.
Through the dim of this mind,
Casts a glimpse of burning white.
Round that star hang walls of glass,
Colors through a prism swirled.
Only shadows of that light
Can reach the muddle of this world.

And the one who made that star is of ancient lands,
In my mind their essence dwells,
In the lines upon my hands.

I must meet another Elf,
Then I would not be alone.
Come to me if Elf you are,
So if you know how it feels reaching for the starlit sky,
No one mortal hears your wordless cry.

If your soul lies in that other world
Unbeknown by man,
From the depths of ancient woods,
Find me waiting here
If you can.

Disclamer: I own nothing and no one.

Imagine for once, you were in her shoes, completely alone, not a soul like you to talk to. Does that not terrify you? For we are creatures of contact, and to keep a guise just to be accepted by the multitude must be horrible. no wonder Ash broods a lot.
