What's under the bed?

Argh! Exams are so stressful! I wrote this short little fic mainly to distress myself. Cause I think I am starting to go crazy!

Disclaimer: seriously, you guys should know by now that I am not J.K Rowling! Or am I… don't worry! I'm not!

Five-year-old Lily Evans jumped out of bed and quickly ran over to the light. Heart beating fast, she switched it on and sighed in relief. She was not exactly safe yet though…

"Mummy! There is a monster under my bed! It was trying to eat me!" Lily cried as she ran down the hallway, straight into her mother's bedroom.

She jumped up on the bed and curled up near her mother's head. "Mummy?"

Rosalie Evans (A/N: I didn't know her mothers name so I made it up! Same with her dad!) Groaned and rolled over. "Lily? What is it now?"

"Mummy, there's something under my bed. Can you get it out?" Lily asked.

Rosalie sighed then slowly stood. She shuffled to her daughter's bedroom then knelt down and looked under the bed. "There is nothing under there. Now please go back to sleep."

"No! There is something there! It is big and green and slimy looking!" Lily exclaimed. "Its hands were cold as well." She added as an afterthought.

"Hmm…" Rosalie said as someone tapped her shoulder.

Their hands were cold… very cold.

"Would the monster happen to be right behind me?" she asked her daughter.

Lily took one look at it and screamed. "That's it! Mummy gets rid of it!"

Rosalie turned around to look at the monster and laughed. "That's not a monster!"

"What's going on?" the 'monster' said in a groggy, tired voice.

"Lily thought you were a monster. Did you try scare her in the middle of the night?" Rosalie asked Petunia, her eldest daughter.

"No… I was trying to stop her from sleep talking again. Its so annoying." Petunia mumbled pointing vaguely at Lily then at her own bed.

"Petunia!" Lily squealed as she ran over to her sister and gave her a hug. "You scared me. I thought you were a monster!"

Petunia laughed and hugged her little sister back. "Why are we all awake at the middle of the night?" another voice asked.

They turned around to see Tom, Lily's father. "Lily thought Petunia was a monster." Rosalie explained.

Tom laughed. "Well seeing as we are all awake now, how bout a bit of hot chocolate in the kitchen?" He suggested.

"Yeah!" Lily and Petunia cried together.

They then proceeded to run to the kitchen and sit and wait for their hot chocolates. The happy family drank them in peace then returned to their beds, this time with no monsters…

...

How did you like it? I'm feeling a lot better now but I still worry about mathematics exam tomorrow. It's my worst subject…

Oh well! I hope you enjoyed this random story!

Please feel free to leave a review. It only takes half a minute and it makes me so happy! Plus helps me distress a bit more… :)
