Author's Note: I wrote this poem when I was ten.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
The face of a child
Is never really shown
"Who is he, really?"
They all ask
But, deep down, it's not known
Is he a straight A student?
The teacher's favorite pet?
That's what he shows in school
Making sure his academic needs are met
Is he the angry boy
Who lives on that block?
When others are around
That mask is shown
And they all fall for the rock
Of the mask he shows
"Who is he, really?"
They all ask
The teacher's pet? The angry boy?
All of his needs are made
But, deep down, he knows the truth
He's too lost in his facade
Author's Note: This poem was originally about a girl who lived a lie of happiness. I modified various words such as "she" and "her" to "he" and "his" along with "happy" to "angry" and the final line from "too deep" to "too lost".
The teacher's pet line comes from Enzan's statement that he is going to collage in Battle Network 3.
This poem takes place in season 1 of the animeverse.
