So, this is a quick little story about Logan & the girl he loves. He's trying to make a big step, but he is struggling with it. Hope you like anyways! I was going to put this scene into my other story, but it just confused things really.

"I can't have this problem right now. I need to…I need for everything to be alright with Emma."

"Right now? What's so special about right now?" Jean asked with a questioning in her voice.

"Because I want to ask her to marry me."

"Wow…"

"Emma & I don't have the luxury of being able to grow old together. You and Scott do. You can take you time getting things right, but we…I…need all the time I can get with her. We won't be together when she's 80 years old and I'm still 30-whatever. As much as I'd like to believe it, I know that's not how it works. I want to spend every moment with her that I possibly can. I wish it could be forever. I wish I could die at 99 with her by my side. I wish she could live forever by my side…"

"I didn't know relationships had timelines like that…"

"Realist-"

"Do you know the day when you'll break up with her? Do you have it all planned? What, are you going to divorce her?"

"It's not like that. Its just…do you think she'll want me around?"

"When you say forever, you have to mean it. And forever is different for everyone. For you two, its like this."

"Even if I stick by her side – which I want to – we'll still have to say goodbye."

Jean looked away, a sadness in her eyes that was quite evident.

Silence.

"Oh Logan." Her voice cracked. He simply nodded.

"I know. Its horrible, to even consider it. That's why I need her to say yes. I want our life together to start as soon as possible. Our version of forever…"

"Maybe there's something you could do…I mean, the cure exists, so maybe there's something like a death remedy…Maybe-"

"Be serious, here Jean."

"You don't think I am? You have time. Nature already changed half of the once normal population into mutants. Who knows what else nature can do?"

Silence greeted them again.

"That day…when she disappeared, and we found her and she was just…covered in blood…I kept imagining what would happen if she never breathed again. All I could think was 'there must be a way for me to kill myself too.' Living with out her isn't an option…And there are ways-"

"She wouldn't want that, Logan. You know that. She'd want you to move on, to find happiness again-"

"No! I would never…I couldn't…Its crazy, I know. To be talking like this, about someone I just met. About someone I just started loving. But I'm so hooked on her, so in love with her. When she leaves for a day, I miss her like crazy. A week? I'm lost. And then..then when she's back, I just lay with her and the world stops and we're happy. We're where we belong. I need her. I've never had this before. I didn't think I'd ever need to deal with this in my life."

"You should be careful Logan…"

"That would be impossible, Jean. Did you forget I'm in love? I'm in love. And I want…need Emma Marshall to marry me."

Jean sighed, "Well then, Logan, I wish you luck."

Kind of corny, yes, but I've always wondered what would happen if Logan met a girl he wanted to live forever with and stuff….so I hope you liked it. I don't expect a lot of reviews, but I'd love to hear from you guys!
