A humid summer breeze lightly brushed against a wind chime that hung outside the back window. Lazily, a clambering of notes made their way through the building. A careless snore mixed itself in with the array of notes. Sleeping, the man was generously stretched out across his chair as his legs rested atop the desk. With the recent issue of JUMP balanced precariously on his face and a carton of strawberry milk in front of him, the man was nervously lingering between heaven and hell.

The front door of the room soundlessly slid open. A girl no more than fourteen stood there, seemingly troubled over what to say to the man snoring boorishly across the room. Strangely, she wore a bright pink electric guitar costume, with her head serving as the neck. The costume wrapped around her head and went more than a few inches above her usually short stature.

A wide grin permeated her previously thoughtful expression. Now, she, if anything, resembled a wild monkey.

She didn't seem to hesitate breaking the serene summer scene with a deafening scream.

"Gin-chan!"

Her guitar's head stock bobbed as she stomped across the room in an excited charge.

Gintoki let out a startled cry as he violently threw his upper body forward and grasped the arms of his chair. As portended, the issue of JUMP that was once steady on his head was now soaked pink after being flung into the carton. Realizing that his desk was covered in milk, his face crumbled into despair. Turning his attention to the girl, the main cause of the spill, he angrily stood up and moved several paces towards her.

"Hey, Kagura! What the hell did you do, you brat?!"

He repeatedly motioned towards the desk. The milk began dripping onto the floor. Dispirited, he brought his hand to his forehead as he looked at the sad scene.

"My beloved strawberry milk is wasted…" he added in disappointment, trailing off when Kagura's costume was brought to his attention.

He conceitedly burst out laughing and began pointing at Kagura in a coarse way.

"Ahahaha! What the fuck are you wearing?!"

Irritated at Gintoki's manner of response, she quickly hooked him by the nose and threw him back into his desk chair, which then slammed into the wall behind him with a thunderclap. He laid in a heap, his back-side facing outwards.

"Shut up!" she yelled, her teeth gritted.

She grabbed Gintoki by the collar and started dragging him behind her. A haughty grin spread across her face.

"We got a job, Gin-chan! My friend said that she wanted to see a band perform, so you get to be the triangle!" She spoke with her usual joyful ring.

"Oi! Wait a minute! We're supposed to play the instruments, play them! Anyways, I got an F in music ed. in primary school; none of us can even play recorders!"

Kagura continued dragging him across the room and slid the door open to go outside.

"Hey, are you listening to me, you no-good kid! Listen to your elders! We'd be worse than Nicke-"

Shoving his head into the side of the wall, Kagura looked down from the second-story. Smiling to Shinpachi, who was waiting down below dressed as a keyboard, she began to wave at him in excitement, forgetting to put down Gintoki.

"Shinpachi, I got Gin-chan to agree!"

A despondent look immediately cast itself upon Shinpachi's face as he watched his friend being joyfully waved around by a fourteen-year-old girl.
