To say Oliver Queen was bored was an understatement. His girlfriend Dinah Lance, the Black Canary, was away on a mission and there were none that needed his attention. That left his alone throwing darts at the bulls-eye in his room at the Watchtower. Suddenly an idea popped into his head. He jumped up and headed to the Monitor Womb.
Once there Ollie spotted his target. The Question, known to few as Vic Sage sat at the monitor with a laptop on the desk.
"What do you want, Arrow?" Question asked suddenly
Ollie silently cursed, then walked in and plopped in the chair by his side.
"I just wanted to see what you were up to," he said as casually as possible.
Question stopped typing and turned to face him. Oliver swore he saw a raised eyebrow under the mask. After a while of staring (which was like staring at a was in Oliver's case), Green Arrow finally relented.
"Alright, I was board and Dinah's away on a mission."
"Why not watch mindless television in the Recreation room like Flash does?" asked Q coolly
"I tried. There's nothing on but adds for soccer tournaments that got boring after a while," replied Ollie leaning on the monitor desk.
"Soccer." was all Vic said before he started typing furiously at the laptop.
"Yeah....Wait, you've got another conspiracy, don't you?" said Oliver
"Yes," Vic replied
"Well, I got nothing better to do. Tell me,"said Ollie
Vic let out a sigh the looked at his emerald companion.
"Look. There are a bunch of adds for soccer. America has decided that Brazil will hold the Olympics in 2016, and the online game Free Realms recently introduced soccer as a job," explained Question
"So what?"
"Brazil has one of the best soccer teams in the world," Q deadpanned
"What, America plans to take out the competition on soccer?"
"That is the question." said Vic
Oliver stared for a moment and thought about his crazed companion's idea
"You just might be on to something."
That really got Q's attention.
"I mean America passes in almost everything but soccer," said Oliver
"humph," Question grunted still typing.
Without another thought Oliver got up and went back to his room. He came back moments latter with a laptop as well.
That's how Black Canary found them. After checking his room, Dinah saw the two grown men siting in the chairs typing at computers. That's how they remained until Question's shift was over.
Their ranting went on until Dinah called Helena and the dragged them both apart to end the tirade.
