Prologue

"SMASH!", Izuku Midoriya's glowing fist collided with a gigantic rock. Removing his hand from the mineral and taking a deep breath, the green-haired boy can't help but feel pleased with himself as he examines his handiwork. From where he was positioned, he could see a giant crater implanted from the spot that he hit it. Taking a moment to dust himself off, he failed to notice the cracks getting wider as the boulder broke into a thousand pieces.

"Well done! You've successfully managed to draw out more of One for All's power. Soon enough, you'll have 100% of the quirk down packed!", the former No.1 hero and Symbol of Peace exclaims with a cheesy smile. When Midoriya turns around, he can't help but smile at the sight of his mentor, predecessor and idol All Might watching his development closely. If it wasn't for All Might, Midoriya would just be another bystander on the street. It all started the day All Might saved the young boy from the Sludge Villain.

If it wasn't for him, Midoriya wouldn't even be here right now. After that fateful incident, the two formed a strong mentor/pupil connection as the former Symbol of Peace decided to share the secret of his power, also known as "Quirk" with the young boy. You see, as a child Izuku was diagnosed as being quirkless. Out of the world's population, only 20% are diagnosed as those without a quirk. Izuku Midoriya is one of those 20%, which he was ridiculed for it throughout his school days.

After telling All Might his dream, the hero deemed Izuku as the perfect successor to inherit his power. After getting into his dream school, U.A High, the same school that All Might attended, the 9th chosen one made friends one after another as he continued to master his newfound power to its fullest potential. "You really think so All Might? I still feel like a weakling compared how I was before. Sure I can only bring out 26% of One for All, but if I want to make my dream into a reality, I have to make this power my own! On top of that, I still have the previous predecessors quirks to master. That's seven quirks I have to master if I want to be the best!", Midoriya states as he looks at his scarred hand.

"DETROIT SMASH!", All Might fist connects with Izuku's face. The fledgling hero falls on his butt as he rubs his bruised cheek. "Quit your senseless monologuing! Young Midoriya, you have what it takes to be the next Symbol of Peace! I chose you because I saw the potential in you and the fire in those green eyes of yours. I believe in you all the way". The two share a quick smile before All Might helps Midoriya up to his feet.

"Oh I almost forgot! Hey All Might, Mr. Aizawa said something about important news he has to share with us tomorrow. You wouldn't happen to know anything about it would you?", Midoriya rubs the back of his head slyly.

"No short cuts Young Midoriya! You'll just have to find out tomorrow like the rest", the blonde adult laughs a little as he coughs out blood. A typical side effect from his fight with the Symbol of Evil: All for One.

"All right class listen up! I have some important news that I mentioned yesterday. As you all know, in about a month you all shall be graduating and moving on to become 2nd year students", the whole class erupts in screaming. It was true that their first year at U.A was officially ending. So much has happened during that time that it feels like an eternity since they started school.

The League of Villains attack on the U.S.J, the U.A Sports Festival, the terrifying battle with the Hero Killer: Stain, and the most tremendous impact on hero society: The climatic battle between All Might and All for One. That battle put a mark on the world that showed the aftermath of it. It took the full force of One for All inside All Might's body in order to put All for One behind bars. After that battle All Might was forced to retire, which caused new villains to start popping up since the world lost faith in the new Symbol of Peace: Endeavor. It was only renewed when the whole world was watching the battle between Endeavor and the artificial human (or nomu) High-End. Aside from that, The League of Villains have also been making moves lately.

The sleepy homeroom teacher activates his quirk, his eyes in turn turning a scarlet red and his hair rising up, forcing the loud kids to settle down almost immediately. "Now back to the topic at hand! Since your becoming 2nd year students, the school has proposed an idea. To show what you all have learned during your school year, the principal has decided to have a tournament, similar to the U.A Sports Festival", Aizawa explains as he deactivates his quirk. All of Class 1-A are absolutely speechless at the news.

"An upcoming tournament?! Mr. Aizawa, DON'T YOU THINK THAT IS A LITTLE EXTREME!? ALL THIS JUST TO SHOW THE RESULTS OF OUR STUDIES!", the class representative/president announces sternly. Everyone in the class looks at their homeroom teacher and class rep as they end up having a stare off.

"I'll admit it might be a bit over the top to host a big tournament, but principal Nezu is having the tournament set for all the grades, so its to see the results of everything you've learned over the year. Talk among yourself about the tournament, I'm taking my annual nap", the homeroom teacher zips up his yellow sleeping bag before plopping on the floor and falling fast asleep.

"A tournament huh? For some reason, that sounds really exciting! I mean ever since the Sports festival, we've gotten better at using our quirks and our judgement skills", Denki Kaminari smiles brightly. It was true that each and everyone of them have refined their quirks in their own unique ways. The two prominent points were when they were training for their Provisional Hero license and the Joint Training where Class 1-A and Class 1-B fought.

"Its true that we've gotten stronger, but in terms of actual training, you haven't changed a bit. The only way you got stronger was because of your hero equipment helping you out. I bet you still go stupid when you exceed your limit!", Jiro teases before bursting out into laughter. Kaminari scowls lightly as he decides to have a conversation with Mezo Shoji.

"Ribbit, Ochaco are you ready for the tournament? I'm sure your going to do well this time", Tsuyu Asui asks her best friend. Turning around to look at her, she realizes the brunette-haired girl is in her battle one, indicated by the fierce and powerful aura surrounding her. Uraraka used to be a timid girl, until her internship with the Battle Hero: Gunhead. This caused her to turn into a warrior machine and with her trained quirk, she's one of the most strongest students in the class.

"I can't wait for the tournament! I'm going to go all-out! This should be fun!", Ochaco Uraraka says as she begins rapidly punching the air. Soem of the students just giggle at her performance, while others just look at her with a weird expression.

"Man, am I fired up! This tournament is the perfect chance show my manly spirit to the entire class. Its also a great way end our first year at U.A, don't you think man?!", Eijiro Kirishima exclaims hyped up as he leans on a certain blonde-haired boy. Katsuki Bakugo for his part, just lets out a hefty grunt. The boy had an explosive attitude that could only be rivaled by the destructive power of his quirk. He was well known for multiple things: The boy who was taken captive by the Sludge Villain, the winner of the Sports Festival, and apparently the boy who ended the Symbol of Peace. He was one of the only people who knew about the secret of Midoriya and All Might's shared quirk: One for All. The secret was found out after him and Midoriya had a stress relieving fight. All Might decided to share the secret with him, becoming a secret that the three currently share together.

"Whatever dumb hair! As long as I can crush anybody with my power, that's all that matters. I'll prove that I'm the best in this worthless class! You hear that Todoroki! I don't want another half-ass win like the Sports Festival you icy-hot bastard!", Bakugo practically yells as he get directly in scarred boy's face. The whole class is almost silent as the two have a stare off. It was true that the two had an ongoing rivalry with each other, especially since Todoroki held back from using his flames against Bakugo in the last match of the Sports Festival.

"I promise I won't hold back! I'll come at you with everything I got!", Todoroki exclaims as he glances at Midoriya. The green-haired boy was actually the one that inspired the dual-wielding quirk user to use the other part of his power.

After a long standing tension with his father: The No.1, formerly No.2 hero Endeavor, Shoto made a promise never to use the left side of his quirk. Shoto's power was different from most, from his mother he inherited the ability manipulate the cold and ice on the right side of his body, while from his father he had the ability to control flames on the left side of his body. The two powers countered each other perfectly, since the boy had a risk of either catching frostbite on his right side, or overheating on his left side. After so many years of not using his left, Todoroki was persuaded to use his fire during his match with Midoriya. All it took was one sentenced that broke through many years of hate and trauma.

ITS YOURS! YOUR QUIRK NOT HIS!

"Don't get comfortable Deku! Your also one of the people I plan on annihilating during the tournament! I'm going to humiliate you during that time, ya damn nerd!", Bakugo states plainly as he grabs his bag and prepares to head out. It was true that Midoriya or as his nickname would be called Deku, was one of the most biggest threats to Bakugo there was.

In terms of raw power and speed, Deku was the one who stood at the top of the class. the only reason why he couldn't bring out his full potential was because his body wasn't used to having a quirk and since One for All has been passed down from generation to generation, the quirk was supercharged to its maximum potential. In order to get pass breaking all of his bones, Midoriya developed a technique called One for All: Full Cowling. Full Cowling allows Deku to access the quirk's power that his body would be able to naturally take. First 5%, then 8, after 20 and finally 26%, Izuku's strength has increased ten-fold.

"Oh Kacchan! I'll try my best to give you a good fight!", Izuku exclaims nervously as he puts his hands around his head. Ever since they were little kids, Midoriya and Bakugo have been almost inseparable. the even gave nicknames to each other to show their friendship: For Midoriya it was Deku, and For Bakugo it was Kacchan. Sadly, their friendship didn't last long once Kacchan awakened his quirk and Midoriya was diagnosed as being quirkless. The boy's ego took to a whole new level to the point where he started bullying Deku for not having a quirk. They each hold a piece of jealousy for each other, which their trying to work out now that they're back on good terms. Bakugo just sneers at the challenge before opening the door.

"Oh one more thing! Hey Round-Face!", Kacchan exclaims. Everyone immediately turns to Uraraka, since she's the only person he refers to that name by. "If we do get paired up again, it'll be one hell of a rematch! Make sure to bring your A-game... Uraraka!"

After that final speech, the short-tempered boy walks through the door and closes it.

Author Notes:

This is my first My Hero Academia story, so just try to bear with me. I'm a huge fan of the anime and I tend to read the manga from time to time. Aside from that, here is where i will answer some of the reviews instead of doing private messages. I'll still answer the messages though.

I wanna hear your thoughts and criticisms, so please feel free to leave me some reviews from here on end. I thought about doing this story for a while, even when I was doing "A Heart of Ferocious Power". I'm still gonna work on that alongside this story.

I just needed to expand my fiction to making other stories. Alright that's enough from me! Take care and until the next time "Go Beyond, Plus Ultra"
