Lost Love
Prologue
Kate's POV
I watched Isabella while she slept and wondered what kind of parents would hurt this pup. Isabella didn't deserve to be treated like this. She deserves a happy life. If I ever see her parents, I will make sure they are punished for what they did. They have made it so she thinks that she isn't wanted by any wolf and that is not the case. I will make sure she knows she is wanted by other wolves.
I was then startled when Isabella yawned. "Hello," I said to her. "Hi," she said and looked away. I looked at her and knew she felt like she wasn't wanted. "Isabella. I don't care what your parents told you, you are wanted here," I said. "Really?" she asked. "Yes," I said and smiled at her. "Thank you," she said and I could tell her mood had brightened. She then snuggled down into my fur and looked at me with bright and cheery eyes.
Isabella's POV
For once I actually felt happy. No words could explain the feeling I had right now. I actually was somewhere where I was wanted.
"Hey Isabella?" Kate asked. "Yes?" I asked. I looked at her and she had a smile on her face. "How would like a family that cares about you and will love you forever?" she asked. I immediately started wagging my tail in excitement. "Yes!" I exclaimed. "Then would do you say about Humphrey and I adopting you?" Kate asked. "I would love that very much," I said and jumped into the air. I forgot for a second that I was injured, so when I hit the ground I was hurting in several places.
"OMG! Be careful Isabella!" Kate said and ran over to me. I looked at myself and saw I was bleeding again. Kate sat down beside me and tried to get the bleeding to stop. "Sorry," I said. It's okay. Just be careful," she said. I laid there and felt her rough tongue going across my wounds trying to get them to stop bleeding. It calmed me and I felt like I could fall asleep right there.
I then realized that I now had parents that cared about me. Never in my life have I had parents that cared about me. I always dreamed about it, but didn't think it would happen. I finally felt part of a bigger picture. I felt like I could move on with my life and be happy without being scared.
Somewhere in Canada
Third Person
"Did you find her?" asks a deep and scratchy male voice
"No sir, she's still missing"
the male growls in anger. "Put more alphas on search." He sharply states
The female nods and walks off. The male glances at the couple behind him as he starts making his way out of the den. "You're both gonna pay for what you did. He stops and looks to the guard alpha standing near the entrance "take care of them." The guard nods, walks towards the couple and pounces them.
