The golden chain gleamed in the small ray of moonlight that shone in through the small crevice on the tall stone wall she was facing. Otherwise the whole room was filled with darkness, almost suffocating her in its death grip.

She took the small hourglass attached to the chain between her numb fingers as she tried to make it work before it was too late.

BANG!

She quickly turned around to face whoever came in through the door, and for a moment there, she could swear her heart stopped beating when her honey brown eyes met those crimson red eyes she'd had nightmares about for over three years, and she shrunk back slightly against the wall, the gold necklace still in her hands.

"What do we have here?" The cold tone brought shivers down her spine as the necklace, her only chance of survival, was taken away from her, and she felt like weeping, but no way she would show weakness to him.

"Ah, a Time-Turner. Planning on going back and try to change the future? Haven't anyone told you it's dangerous to play with time?" His nonexisting lips turned into a sneer as he dropped the Time-Turner on the floor and crushed it under his foot. When his eyes once again turned towards her she felt the need to look away, and hide from his hatred filled eyes, but she didn't have the power to break the contact. It was like her head was locked in place, and a tear trickled down her face when he broke through her mind walls and started to search her mind, and at the same time bringing up painful memories, both from the past and the present.

When he finally pulled away her gaze dropped to the floor, and her limbs were trembling, both in fear for what was to happen and sadness over everyone who'd died to try and fight this man in front of her.

His pale spider-like fingers touched her chin, forcing her to look at his face, the snake-like features she hated as much as she hated the man,if he could be called that, himself.

"I'm disappointed. I thought you'd be harder to capture." He said, but his voice didn't betray if he really was disappointed or if he was satisfied with the fact that he didn't have to spend more of his valuable time trying to find a Mudblood like her.

"Well, that's too bad." She whispered, using her voice for the first time in weeks, and she winced at the pain it caused her throat, but her face didn't show anything as she continued to stare into his eyes.

He just smirked, leaning even closer so that his cold breath was fanning her face, and she recoiled, feeling the metallic smell of blood hit her nose.

"Are you afraid?" He whispered mockingly, as he wrapped his long fingers loosely around her neck.

"No." She croacked, a bit of her Gryffindor courage entering her, making her feel a bit braver in front of the most evil person to have lived.

"Are you sure?" His tounge licked her neck, and she shivered, and he laughed coldy before backing away, looking at her long light brown hair that hung in dirty tresses around her, almost reaching her waist, and her ragged clothing. The dress had once been a beautiful dark blue that clung to the curves that didn't exist anymore, but after years of being on the run, clothes tended to get destroyed.

He waved his hands, and chains appeared from nowhere, and wrapped around her ankles and wrists, and she bit her lip so she wouldn't scream in pain when they tightened, almost drawing blood.

"Be a good girl and wait here until someone comes and picks you up." He chuckled softly before leaving the room and closing the door, the click of the lock echoing in the empty room, leaving her alone to wallow in despair and mourning those she'd lost during this horrible war that didn't seem to have a ending.

The minutes ticked by, and soon the moonlight shining in from the crevice disappeared, leaving her in complete darkness.
