AN: I OWN NOTHING OF THE SCOOBY DOO FRANCHISE!!!!
Velma
Norville Rogers was playing with the hospital toys while the adults were all busy pacing and talking. Shaggy never got what was so special about this sort of thing. Beside him sat his lifetime pal, a pup named Scooby Doo.
"Raggy?" The puppy asked, obviously indicating Norville, while they were playing an exciting game of cars.
"Yes Scwooby?" He asked in his toddler voice. He was only two years old after all.
"Rere's Reddie?"
"Fweddie went bye-bye wif his mommy and daddy fwor spwing bweak." Shaggy stated even though he had no idea what Spring Break was and why they were going away for it.
"Ren, rhy are re rere?"
"Becwause wone of the mommy's is havin' a baby."
"Roh." Suddenly the adults stopped pacing and chatting as another adult came in and began telling them something about a new baby girl. Shaggy was picked up by his mother, and Scooby by his, and they were taken down a hallway and into a hospital room.
"Oh, isn't she precious! Norvie honey, go say hi to your new little friend!" His mother exclaimed as she set him down on the bed. Shaggy crawled over and looked at the blankets the other mommy was holding. The other mommy moved the blankets aside and everyone ooed and awwed. Shaggy couldn't believe how pretty and cute she was! Suddenly a confusing thought hit him. Aren't girls supposed to be icky? That thought soon vanished from his mind as she opened her eyes and looked directly at him, and smiled. Shaggy smiled back and held out a small hand to her even smaller one. Now he knew why these things were so special. They were special because they can change your mind about just about anything, and she deffinatly changed his.
"Raww." Scooby said, then giggled in his adorable puppy voice. Shaggy didn't even notice, he was too busy looking at her.
"So, what are you going to name her?" His mommy asked the other mommy.
"We agreed on the name of Velma Dace Dinkley." The other mommy said. Vwelma.... Shaggy thought. He had never heard such a beautiful name. He didn't know it, but in the years to come, that name would still send shivers down his spine, as would the beautiful brunette girl with glasses sitting in front of him as they went off to solve another mystery. What he did know, was that he couldn't wait.
