Harry stared at the plain white ceiling of the Hospital Wing. Madam Pomfrey was bustling about nearby, tending to the fresh wounds on Harry's body. She looked down at the grinning boy and couldn't help a small smile. This kind of thing would only happen to him. Harry continued to beam up at the matron, completely oblivious to the dried blood on his forehead.

"Of course this type of thing would happen to you Potter," a smooth voice said from a seat near the bed.

Harry chuckled and looked over into obsidian orbs. He gave the man another smile and said, "Of course, because everything that's bad or odd happens to me. When I was two an insane self-proclaimed 'Dark Lord' killed my parents and gave me a tattoo, then I get stuck with my relatives until I'm eleven, a half-giant breaks down the door of our secluded ho-" He was cut off by a deep resounding chuckle.

"I get it Potter, you're a trouble magnet," Severus said, shaking his head slightly. "I even told you my bathroom is too small for dancing."

Harry gave him a pout and sat up. He knew he shouldn't have been dancing in such a small space, but the fumes from the potion he had been brewing messed up his common sense.

"Don't give me that face Potter, it's true," Severus said, leaning back in his chair.

"I'll stop pouting when you stop calling me Potter," It was obvious that the potion fumes had not worn off.

Severus blinked before letting another chuckle pass his pale lips. He couldn't believe this boy. After the final battle, he kept finding ways to reach him. A lot of people were concerned for their savior, especially when he started talking to empty air.

"Fine Harry, now stop pouting," Severus let the smallest of smiles slip onto his lips. Even in the afterlife he couldn't get rid of this black haired, emerald eyed boy, but maybe that was a good thing. The ghost felt something swell in his chest when said boy gave him a huge smile. He couldn't help the big smile of his own that slipped onto his face, which seemed to make Harry smile even more.

"You do realize you shouldn't have even been in my rooms in the first place," Harry nodded in response, having already heard the statement from Headmistress McGonagall, Madam Pomfrey, and the many people who had visited him. Harry couldn't help it. He missed the snarky Potions Master.

Severus sighed as Harry yawned, he stood from his chair and ruffled Harry's hair before saying, "Get some sleep Harry, your head took a pretty bad blow."

Harry pouted but knew Snape couldn't stay much longer. He sighed as he lay back and closed his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep. Severus smiled softly and sighed. He was not bound to this ancient school, but it seemed as though he was bound to Harry Potter and after a little thought, maybe that wasn't so bad. Another smile slipped onto Severus Snape's lips and he walked out of the Hospital Wing, his figure disappearing into the stone hallway.
