They are not seamless.

Naruto is wild and carefree. He is a firecracker whose sparks never die. He does what he wants—oftentimes not thinking of the consequences. Naruto is clumsy and eccentric; he always slips on his own dirty clothing and always orders the same flavor of ramen: miso. Again and again and again and again. Miso ramen. About four to six bowls in one sitting should about satiate him for the time being. Naruto is full of heart. He never gives up on his most important people. His love never wanes, his love never waivers when it comes to them.

Sakura is wild and temperamental. She is a galaxy whose stars touch thus producing more bangs in the universe. Sakura is analytical and a perfectionist; her braingears will rotate quickly and efficiently, even in the midst of mundane tasks. The healing will never stop until the patient is free from internal and external blemishes. Sakura's heart is no longer full. Ever since their teammate left, things haven't been the same. So she fills up her heart with other materials and mechanisms—blood and studying and healing and training and tea and fake smiles and clipboards and cookies and cream ice cream. At least with those, it can be said that her heart's half-full.

"Dattebayo!"

"Shaaannaroooo!"

Naruto… gets yelled at and punched often. Be that as it may, he never, ever gets angry or sad. His teammate puts him through a wall on a daily basis—most of the time because of his slobbish, naïve, or perverse nature. He gets black eyes, nosebleeds, swollen cheeks, and broken bones. Naruto's had so many bouts with death—half of them from his pink-haired companion. But alas, he never, ever gets upset with her.

Sakura… thinks Naruto is annoying as hell. She beats him up even for the silliest of reasons—because she can. He's such an idiot, she says daily. Who the hell would bring a birthday cake to a death anniversary? "But Sakura-chaaaan, they ran out of everything else! One is better than none, am I right hehehe~" So Sakura injures him in the hopes of one day curing his stupidity and lack of tact.

"Why does he put up with her?"

"How can she tolerate him?"

Human curiosity and bewilderment will never be fully satiated. Thus, people whisper and ask how in Kami-sama's name are Uzumaki Naruto and Haruno Sakura still together.

Face-swallowing grins and gentle, blushing smiles are exchanged. Romantic but cheesy—cringe-worthy—jokes are whispered, and feminine giggles are heard.

Naruto holds her when she loses a patient. Keeps her warm during storms. He brings home cold desserts just because he feels like it. He kisses her 'broad and beautiful' forehead when she remembers their fallen dark-haired comrade. He reaches out his hand even when it's unsure if she'll take it.

Sakura caresses his whiskered cheek after healing him from her own inflicted wounds. She tickles him when he tries to play upset with her. She brings him miso ramen every Monday so his week will start right. She laces her fingers along with his just before his hand drops.

Uzumaki Naruto and Haruno Sakura. They are not perfect, they are not seamless. But their threads of love will bond their souls for as long as their hearts beat together and for each other.
