It's not everyday you discover magic, you know? A whole new world to learn about, new subjects to study, like..., how to make things fly. And also, new people to try and befriend, maybe they would be nicer... Everything is possible when you have magic!
Well, disappointment is a terrible, terrible thing. Why give people hope when it is just taken away? I was better left alone, with the random bursts of magic I couldn't explain without fairytale books. I was used to reading and learning on my own. Now I had hope, for what?
I was still the odd kid, the know-it-all, friendless. I was only trying to help. Can't wait for christmas break. There were no daft redhead wizards at home.
