Hey guys, I've had this idea for a fanfic for a few weeks and I finally decided to write it down, I hope you guys like it. P.D: I got the title from the awesome Pink Floyd song (which is also one of JG's favorite bands :D)Chapter One: I'm so bored!Mordecai sighed as he got up from his bed.
It had been two days since Rigby had gone to visit his family back at Hanford, and the blue jay was dying from boredom without his best friend. Today it would be worse, it would be his free day, which meant no work to get a little distracted for a while.
He sighed again while he thought this.
"Jeez, I'm so bored!"It could have been a nice day if he could go to the Coffee Shop and see Margaret, but she was at her parents' for the weekend.
"Ughh stupid day off!" he kicked a bunch of dirty clothes that were piled up on Rigby's trampoline.
Then he noticed something under the mountain of socks and shirts.
"Huh?"
It seemed to be a ball.
He removed the clothes and got a big surprise when he saw the spherical time machine Rigby had bought for 15 bucks!
"Wow, I thought this thing had dissapeared..." Mordecai said to himself "maybe I could..." he thought it a little "pff, why not, I'm so bored...besides i'll only do it for a while.
The blue jay smiled thinking of all the things he could do. He wanted to try something simple first so he said.
"Take me to 1999" and the machine obeyed.
In a few seconds, he was standing in the middle of a playground, the park's playground.
"I should be around 9 by this time"Mordecai thought "I remember this place..."He realized he still had the time machine in his hands. If someone saw it...he should hide it first. And he knew the perfect place.
With extreme caution, he got under the slide and started digging with his own hands. After a while, he touched something solid.
"Great. It's still here!"He digged a bit more and grabbed a lunchbox. It had Fist Pump stickers all over it. Mordecai smiled remembering his childhood, his great childhood.
"Yeah, that was a great day"He opened the lunchbox and found various treasures inside it. Two wrestling dummies, a well - sized seashell from his first visit to the sea, a baseball signed by Babe Ruth himself!
For a moment, he felt like he would start crying right there, but he didn't want to attract attention so he put the time machine inside and closed the lunchbox. He buried his capsule in the same place he had done one year ago (being 8, obviously).
Mordecai got up and confirmed no one had seen his ritual. No moors on the coast. He sighed in relief and sat on a bench in front of the playground. Right now he just wanted to enjoy the moment, to think of all those adventures he had lived with his friends at elementary school...with Rigby when they were just kids...Wait! Rigby! He had to find him and tell him so many things!...but wait...what would he say to him? What if he got scared and ran away? he should figure out how to tell him...
And right when he was lost in his thoughts of what he should do or not do now that he was in the past...something happened. Someone sat right next to him. Someone...red.
His heart stopped for a minute.
"Hi!" the little stranger greeted.
Mordecai turned to see her very slowly. And a smile drew in his face from nowhere.
"H...Hey"
