The Flashback- CPOV
I could see Charlie trying to chat up Esme, but it just wasn't working. she wasn't interested, she only wanted me. She'd Stare at me with those bold, brown eyes and I knew that there was a connection between us. She made her way across the lab and Charlie knew what she was doing. Oh, He was so jealous of me, I could sense it! She stood in front of me and whispered into my ear, "You free on Friday night?" I just nodded. She gave me a wink and headed back over to Charlie. They were best friends and they couldn't be anymore than that! She didn't see him as a boyfriend.
The Date
On Our date we went to the cinema to watch scream 3. We were becoming closer and closer as a couple and then Charlie walked down the stairs as we were going to have our first kiss! He split us up and said "Hi there, Esme" in a high pitched tone, Then he mumbled "Hi Charlie." I could've throttled him at that point. I had to take some deep breaths to calm myself down. We had to spend the rest of the night with Charlie, Esme Insisted on it! Couldn't Charlie let us be?
