"My Boys"

this for any money, just for pure enjoyment,

There's one question that people always
feel the need to ask me. Not "Help me with tonight's
homework," or "I can't get this potion...help?" It's
"Do you like Harry or Ron?"
I can't stand the question, so I roll my
eyes and walk away most of the time. Of course
I like them, they're my friends. But what they mean
is in a romantic fashion.
To tell you the truth, I don't like them that
way. I never could. Maybe I had a crush on one or the
other at some point in our early Hogwarts career.
But not now, entering our seventh year.
Girls can have boys for best friends, and
strictly for best friends, never crossing the line
between friendship and romance. That's how our
relationship is. Best friends, like any other set
in this school. Only difference is that our set is
of three, and coed. No problem with that.
I could never date one of them, break up
, and have our whole friendship ruined. Then, I suppose
the other could get jealous, and do something silly. Thinking
of the consequences drive me insane.
There's also the fact that they are like brothers
to me. Honestly, sometimes I feel like their mother, for all
the half-thought-out schemes they pull. It'd be wrong
to date one of them. Also, it'd be equally wrong to date
one of Ron's brothers. I admit, I had a crush on Percy during
the first week of term in first year. But now, I find that
disgusting. Don't know why I'd like Percy in that way.
Don't get me wrong, I do like boys. Preferably
not Weasley, and who see in their minds to act properly
towards girls. Boys like Seamus Finnigan and Justin Finch-Fletchley.
Not that I have crushes on them, mind you. And I do love Ron and Harry,
just not in the way most people think.
I guess there is only one way to describe the relationship
I have with Harry and Ron. They're my boys.
