"You should smile more," Tenten said, after five minutes of studying the Hyuuga's face. Neji raised an eyebrow at Tenten's sudden statement.
"...Why?" Neji asked calmly, before standing up. Tenten quickly grabbed his hand, and attempted to pull him back down, but to no avail.
"Because, you never smile!" Tenten said as if this fact was obvious. Not that it wasn't, just not to oblivious geniuses.
Neji glanced down at her, before starting to walk away. Tenten pulled on his hand again. He jerkily stopped, and looked at her face. She was pouting, with her brown hair coming out of its tight buns from training.
"Nejiiii," Tenten pouted, before giving Neji the "Puppy-Dog Eyes." Neji narrowed his eyes. Tenten cursed to herself silently for thinking that the Hyuuga Neji would actually respond to her puppy dog eyes.
"Tenten. Let go of my hand," Neji said calmly. Tenten let go of his hand hesitantly.
A week later
"Neji!" Tenten yelled out, before quickly running over to meet her teammate. Neji raised his eyebrows. Tenten was never that happy to see him. She probably needed him to help her with something "important." Like carrying her shopping bags or something. She should know by now that Hyuuga Neji was not a lackey.
"What?" Neji asked. Tenten smiled brightly at him.
"...Why do you keep smiling at me?" Neji asked.
"Just trying to drop a hint," Tenten said, before grinning wider at him.
"No."
Two weeks later
"Please, Nejiiiii!" Tenten yelled at her teammate that was leaning against a tree casually. Neji lifted his head silently, and stared at her.
"Please! Smiling is good for you!"
"It gives you wrinkles."
"Smiling makes you look more approachable!"
"As if I want people to come near me?"
"..." Tenten sighed. She knew she had just been defeated.
Three weeks later.
"Just. Smile," Tenten said angrily, as Neji stared at her with his stoic eyes. Neji raised an eyebrow.
"Please," Neji said boredly.
"Please," Tenten grumpily added. Tenten closed her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest.
"There." The bunned girl heard her teammate's voice before opening her eyes, and looking up at him walking away.
"Hey! Get back here!" Tenten yelled after him, pulling a kunai from her pouch.
"You're the one who closed her eyes."
"That's not fair! You tricked me!"
A month later
Tenten glared at Neji silently, before lifting her hand, and pinched her fingers together. Neji turned to look at her, with raised eyebrows.
"What?" Tenten asked annoyed.
"What are you doing?"
"Pinching your head," Tenten said, before turning the opposite direction.
"Why?"
"BECAUSE," Tenten started, "You're a prick who won't smile for anything!" Tenten crossed her arms over her chest, but did not close her eyes.
Neji stared at her silently, before sighing.
"Fine," the Hyuuga said.
"I know, I kn-. Fine? You're gonna smile?!" Tenten asked, placing her hands on the table and leaning forward on them. She watched eagerly as the Hyuuga Neji smiled.
"That's not how you smile! You look like your in pain!"
A/N : I know this was utter crap. But, this was just the only plot bunny to survive my laziness and my writing block.
