The sun fell as the moon took it shift, a woman sat on the ground it an allie holding a small two year old. The woman was dying she was breathing slowly, her body was aching. But, she didn't want to leave her baby, she heard foot steps and looked. She saw a young man with black hair and in a school uniform, with all her strength she picked a rock up and threw it at him. It hit his arm, he didn't flinch but simply turned and saw the woman.
"I'll…"
"Please take my baby, she's too… young to dye. I beg you it's too…. late for me but….. not her" she said interrupting the black hair teen.
"What's her name?" he asked grabbing the girl.
"Mar…" she stopped as her head fell, he just stood their starring at the woman. He looked at the little sleeping girl, then headed to his mothers house. He was staying there till his apartment was rebuilt after the earthquake had happened.
"Mother" he said walking in looking around the living room, he felt a soft hand of his cheek. He looked down and saw the child's eyes opened her eyes were pink and her hair was brown. He smiled "You're kind of cute" he said sitting on the couch with her in his lap "she said 'Mar' so are you Marceline. No, Marcy. No." he stared at her as nodded at every name. he thought for a moment "is it Maria" he asked as she nodded a yes.
Two years later…
Hibari was fighting someone strong, he hit Hibari into the wall "That girl will be mine. She is the lotus guardian." he yelled stabbing Hibari's shoulder.
"Papa" Maria yelled grabbing the mans leg and pulling on it as hard as her arm would allow her. The man hit her into the thorn bush, she yelped as the thorns dung into her flesh.
"Maria" Hibari shouted as roll struck the man right in his head.
Blood spattered on his face as he rushed to Maria and saw that she was cut across her chest. "Papa" she whispered trying to keep her eyes opened.
"Yes, Papa's right here cupcake" he said carrying her to the Vongola hospital. A nurse came out and tried to take her. But she wouldn't let go of his jacket, "take her to room 244B" she said, letting Hibari by.
He sat her on the bed, she wasn't scared of the wound on her but, she was worried about Hibari. Her body began to heal fast. Hibari was surprised at this, "What the-" he stopped looking at her embarrassed face.
She was the lotus guardian, he was so proud that his sis I mean daughter was strong like himself.
