Silent Agony

the way I wrote this after the episode "Signs of the final battle." It's a poem on Duo's thoughts of Hilde when
they take her into the care center. Enjoy!
SILENT AGONY
I sit here and I watch you, Creating an eerie silence.
You breathe in and out, Softly with shallow unevenness.
My heart aches with the truth, I want to ease your pain.
"Why did you do it? Why did you risk your life?" I asked, My fear to strong to hide behind this happy face, this
happy mask.
"Because I wanted to." You say to me, Your face hurt yet full of joy.
"YOU STUPID FOOL!" I screamed at you, My emotions had gotten the best of me.
"I knew you'd say somethin like that." You say. You slouch and your eyes close.
What have I done? I've hurt someone I care about.
Now I sit here at your side, Watching your peaceful face.
"I'm sorry. I did this too you." I say, I clasp your hand in mine.
"Duo..." You say in your sleep, My heart jumps with hope.
Your body battered and hurt, Can I even help you?
"I'm sorry Duo. I was just tryin to help." You say, "Now you hate me don't you." You face a mask of pain and
despair.
"Don't worry. I'm here for you." I whisper, I tremble at the thought of you leaving me.
"I love you Duo." You whisper, A tear runs down your cheek.
"I love you too. Hilde." I say. I caress your cheek and wipe your tear.
I lean over and kiss your lips, Lightly, yet with all my passion.
I know now that you are true, And I will never leave you.
