One of the four Yu-ships that I love, so here is a little drabble for it! :)
Sweet
"Yosuke! Come down and eat your dinner before I come up for you!"
The teenage boy just called back that he wasn't hungry, causing his mother to sigh as the phone rang. Busy as she was, she couldn't answer. Frowning, she called to Yosuke again.
"Answer the phone!"
"I don't want to!"
"Answer it or I will make you go to cram school!"
"Alright!" was the grumbled answer she got as she went back to the kitchen. Dinner had to be finished, mainly the chocolate cake that she was baking to cheer her son up. As said son walked downstairs (his mother disliked him having a phone in his bedroom), she 'turned off' her ears and focused on work. She was certain that it was his friend, Narukami Yu, who had gone back to the city merely a week ago. But Yosuke was too sad over him leaving, way too sad for merely a friend leaving so she decided to help along somewhat by contacting Yu's mother and having her ask him to call by claiming that Yosuke called that morning. Neither of the teens was any wiser and that was just how the older women liked it. She smiled softly as she heard her son's surprised voice, an equally surprised one replying to his questions. By the time she was done with the cake and ready to serve it, Yosuke had joined his father with a blush on his face.
"When is Yu-kun coming over?"
"Mom!"
"I'm just curious..."
"He doesn't have enough money for a ticket..." Yosuke began to list reasons why Yu couldn't come over to visit them. When the doorbell sounded and Yosuke went to open it, his father noticed that his wife had a secret smile on her face. He decided not to ask. It was better for him to not know what the mothers of the two boys were capable off.
"Yu!? How did you?"
"Well, it turns out my mother had some tickets ready... she wanted me to visit Nanako and Uncle Dojima tonight anyways... appearently."
Yosuke slowly looked at his mother as she served the cake, cutting it into even pieces for every person, including their guest.
"Welcome, Yu-kun! I hope you like chocolate cake! I did make it rather sweet for Yosu-chan's tastes..."
"MOM!"
Yes, life was normal in the Hanamura residence as their guest got comfy over the next couple of weeks.
