Arthur was an outcast, He always kept to his own business, and barley talked to others. His only friend being a japanese exchange student and he was one of few he actually had come to appreciate. He didn't have very much friends except Kiku, though he did have many enemies. One of his enemies was the 'stupid french frog' The one who would flirt with him every now-and-then. Then, came the news, when he entered his first class he found a blonde, tall, teen about his was a new student that Arthur have never met. Not wanting to be around others and/or others to look his way, he turned is head and put a book to his face as if he was reading. Alfred looked for a seat across the room before the teacher pointed to the empty seat beside Arthur. "Oh great." He muttered to himself as the blonde sat beside him. As Alfred sat he had a grin on his face and quickly turned to the Brit. "Hey! I'm Alfred F. Jones. But you can call me Al if you want!" He said while stretching his hand out to Arthur. "Um," He took the others hand, "I'm Arthur, Arthur Kirkland." He replied almost dull as he let go of the others hand. "Arthur? Ha, that's a nice name dude! Can I call you Artie?" He said, still with the grin plastered on his face. Arthur looked at him with an eyebrow raised, "I wouldn't appreciate you calling me that 'nick name' So, don't do it." The teacher broke the 'conversation' between the two boys, then continued teaching the lesson Alfred and Arthur haven't even noticed started. When the class was over he tried his best to rush out of the classroom as soon as he could, though was stopped as he heard someone call his name. "Artie! I mean, Arthur!" He voice stopped him in his tracks and wishing for the other to go away. He looked back to see Alfred walk toward him, still with the signature smile on his face. "Hey," He said happily, "I was wondering if you would like to be friends! I mean, we've already met and all, and I came here from a different school and I know no one here accept you. So what do ya say?" Arthur looking at him in a serious stare almost thought in disbelief. "Alfred, right? Didn't I just meet you? Do you truly choose your friends that quickly?" The America looked shocked and nervous. "Y-Yeah, but, I thought you really looked like a nice person and all..." He said scratching the back of his head. "Are you planning to ask me to be your 'friend' until I accept?" Arthur replied blankly, almost with no expression. "U-Uh, no, If I'm bothering you I'm sorry, and I can leave. I understand if you would prefer not to know me." Alfred slowly turned around and started walking away before he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned back to see the shorter classmate. "Well, you get upset quickly, don't you?" He said, only now with a light smile. "Well, if it makes you feel better I'll be your 'friend' alright?" Alfred's face lit-up at the others words. "Ha! Thanks dude!" "Ehem," Arthur replied taking his hand off the others shoulder. "Though, could you not shout as much?" "Sure dude! Oh, I mean sure dude." He said in a quiet tone, giggling after he corrected his shouting. Arthur started now, walking to his 2nd class realising he only had about three minutes to make it. "Hey, Alfred. You should head to your class before your late, okay?" he turned his head while walking away from the American. "You wouldn't want to be late." Were the last words Alfred heard Arthur speak as he disappeared into the halls. Alfred stood still, watching the Brit leave before turning around and smiling to himself, walking to his next class hoping not to be late.
