The Feeling

Prologue

Iruka walked home from the Academy late one night after grading the huge mound of papers his students had turned in earlier that afternoon. He was exhausted and all he wanted to do was collapse in bed. But no, no that would be to good to be true. No, as soon as Iruka turned onto the block his house was on, he got The Feeling again. This feeling was all to familiar. After all, he had been having this feeling for a week. The feeling that someone was watching you, like they were standing next to you, when there was no one there. Iruka pulled out a Kunai and scanned the rooftops. And just like the past week, there was nothing there. The feeling had somewhat subsided, but lingered there still. Finally, he sighed and put the Kunai away.

"I must be going insane." Iruka muttered and continued the walk to his house. Little did Iruka know that there really was someone shadowing him.

As Iruka unlocked the door to his house, he had the feeling that someone was standing behind him. He whirled around and threw a Kunai with deadly aim at the building across the street. Nothing.

"I could have sworn I saw someone there. I know I did! And I'm really not insane.....Right? Ah forget it. It must be because I've been so tired lately....damn papers.." Iruka shook his head as he entered his apartment and closed the door behind him.

Outside the apartment a shadowy figure slowly pulled Iruka's Kunai out of the cement wall. "My, my. What good reflexes he has. Not many humans could even tell that I am around, much less pin point my location. He is more interesting then I had first anticipated." the figure said, before laughing and quickly disappearing in a flash from the street.
