Prologue: A New Hero.

It was a bright and sunny day in the Zanto region. The sun shown throw the window of a young man sleeping in his bed. He was ten years old, he had spiky red hair, and was sleeping in striped pajamas.

"Raven, time to get up." yelled a voice from down stairs. This stalled the kid as he fell out of his bed and onto the floor.\

"Oh, I'm late." he yelled as he ran into his closet and throw some out until he came out wearing his outfit. He was wearing a white shirt under a black vest, fingerless gloves, and blue jeans. He ran down stairs and into the kitchen were his mother was setting up a breakfast.

"Oh, honey. Are you ready for your adventure?" she asked her child with a smile. She was a middle aged woman with long black hair, an hour glass figure, and wear a white shirt with a blue blouse and long yellow skirt.

"Yeah, I'm off to get my starter pokemon." he said as he kissed her cheek, grabbed an apple, and then headed to the front door, put his sneakers on, and ran out the door. He ran as fast as he could down the street, waving at people as ran past and headed for the lab on the out skirts of town. As he reached the lab, he ran up the stairs leading to the front door. As he reached the door, he was panting heavily as he reached for the door and knocked. Seconds after he knocks, the door opens and it reveals a very large man standing over him. The man had short brown hair, a goatee, glasses, and wear a lab coat with a blue short under it with a black tie, and dress pants.

"Ah, you must be Raven. Come in." he said as he led the young man into the lab. It was just like any other lab, full of computers and machines.

"Wow, this place is cool. Prof. Jones." Raven said as he looked over around.

"Why thank you, but I think I know what you might think is cooler." Prof. Jones said as he lead the kid to a tube that held three poka'balls. "Here, each have a pokemon in it. In this region, we have the leaf pokemon, Treecko, the fire poke, Tepig, and the water pokemon, Squirtle. So, which would you like?" he asked as he lifted the tube.

"Hmmm, well. My dad picked a water pokemon when he started. I don't want to copy him, so. I'll take Treecko." Raven said with a smile as he reached for the ball with the leaf on it. He pressed the button and it revealed a Treecko. It looked around, and then turned to see it's new master. It looked at Raven, and then smiled and jumped into his arms.

"Wow, she must really likes you." Jones said as he went over to the desk and then brought Raven his six pokeballs and Pokedex.

"Thanks, me and Rose are off." he said as he took the stuff from the prof and then left, while still carrying his new pokemon. He headed home to show his mom his new pokemon.
