(Sophia pov)
BANG!
I stay stiff and still. The only sound that's in the air is the thumping of the drug dealers body hitting the ground, the grunting of Htay clenching his bleeding wound, and the huffing and puffing of Klaw trying to catch his breath. I don't make a sound, I have done stupid shit in my life but- my thoughts were interrupted when Htay slapped the gun out of my hands and picked it up "what the hell get rid of that" I yelled
Out of confusions "Shut up and don't say a word" his face was never so serious "what are you-" the police sirens blared through the dark alley "Drop your weapons and put your hands above your head!"yelled the angry police officer we respected orders and got on our knees. As I
keeled on the dirty ground Htay whispers " I-I'm so sorry you guys" I was so paralyzed by his words "It's OK man it's not your fault ." Klaw says
"No it is! I let you and Sophie down!" he's says almost in tears. "No you didn't! Don't ever think or say that,okay?" I said with tears streaming down my face. As I get read my rights i notice that i'm being put in different police cars than Htay and Klaw. Htay breathes on the car window and rights….Feathers for life

I shot up drenched in sweat, trying to catch my breath."Sophie time for school!" Brenda my social worker yells. I slip on a black skirt and my yin yang shirt and I get a glimpse of my feather tattoo in the mirror I was going to get it removed but I couldn't bring myself to do so. "Sophie get your ass down here!" yells Brenda "I'm coming hold your fucking horses!" I shout back. I look in the mirror, I cover up my tattoo with my jacket. Now the real hell begins.
