Tony Stark was walking down the main corridor in Stark Tower, when he saw a man dressed in a business suit. The man was telling the desk clerk that he needed to see Tony immediately. Tony walked over to the man.
"Can I help you?" he asked.
The man identified himself as Bruce Wayne. "Can I talk to you in private?" Wayne asked.
"Sure," Tony replied
The two men went up to Tony's private office, and as soon as they were alone bruce began to speak.
"Tony I know you're Iron Man."
"Straight and to the point," Tony said, "I don't like that. It makes me feel threatened."
"But what you don't know is, I'm Batman." Tony stared at him, shocked.
"Well obviously," he said after a moment. "Your point is?"
Batman, as Tony now knew him, said, "I need your help to stop a criminal uprising in Gotham".
"I don't do teams well," Iron Man said, "I can barely tolerate the Avengers. So, yeah, nope"
"I often find those who are not with me are against me," Batman growled.
"What?" Tony asked with a frown, "Was I not clear enough?"
Batman glared, then quickly left the building.
3 days later…
Tony had already forgotten about the incident where he managed to annoy the most evil good guy there is. But then, he got a call on the room communicator.
"Mr. Stark!" yelled the clerk, "We have a security issue!"
"For the hundredth time!" Tony groaned, "When the coffee runs out, it doesn't count as a security issue!"
"No sir!" the clerk yelled, some weird goth is throwing boomerangs at the customer service representatives! I mean, they might not be the best at their jobs, but seriously!"
Tony quickly sprang up off the couch and grabbed his watch. He took the steps two at a time as he went downstairs. When he arrived he saw the staff all unconscious and the guards tied up. he looked around, and saw a shadowy figure in the corner. He was pretty sure he knew who it was.
"Batman you don't have to do this!" Tony yelled, then paused, "Okay, I have totally become cliche."
"Yes I do," Batman growled, ignoring the quip. He then swung a fist at tony. Tony just barely managed to catch the punch.
"You shouldn't have done that," he scowled. He promptly tapped a button on his watch. There was a whirring noise as the new high-tech device began to activate. It began unfolding from his watch. First it slid up to cover his entire hand and arm . Where Tony's body use to be, was a mask and armor, and his shoes turned into armored leggings. The suit keeped spreading until it covered his entire body. The suit was black with a gray finish. Iron Man glared at Batman, and the latter returned the favor. Blades extended from Iron Mans shoulders and hands. Batman drew two Batarangs and crossed his arms across his chest. And with an almighty roar, Iron Man and Batman met in battle.
