Thou Art Our Lord
Thou art above all.
In clouds of crimson gloweth a sunset
Like Thy blood that floweth pure.
Thy fleece shimmereth and shineth
Whiter than new fallen snow
And Thy gentle smile radiateth
The warmth of the summer sun.
Thy hands hath the strength
To lifteth the burdens
Of the world.
Thy heart beateth
With the cadence of waves
Upon sandy beaches.
Thy love is exceedingly great;
Thou willingly sacrificed Thyself.
Thou art the sacrificial Lamb
For the sins of Thy children.
Thy tears of rain
Washeth away
The pain of our loneliness.
Thy agony,
At the hands of ignorant children,
Chaseth away our iniquities.
Prophets of old spake of Thy death;
Thou knewest that Thou must succeed
To overcometh the world.
Thou art the tower of strength
In the deadly storms of life.
Thine golden and fiery eyes
Art beacons of power
And yet Thou art as tender
As a newborn Lamb.
Thy arms keepeth us close
When no longer can we
Beareth on our own.
Thy voice,
Thy musical voice,
Reverberates with compassion and forgiveness.
Thou hath prepareth a place
In heaven for us
And the only way
Into the gates
Is by Thy saving grace,
Through faith.
Thy Spirit cloaketh us
From the dark reign of evil.
Thy words is our sword
And Thy blood is our shield
Against Thine enemies.
Thy promises giveth us strength
To keepeth our determination
To endureth our sorrows.
The light that surroundeth Thee
Breaketh through the darkness in our hearts.
Thy laughter ringeth down from heaven
And lifteth our souls to new heights.
The plants bringeth forth fruits
At Thy command;
May we never knowest hunger.
Thou art the First
And Thou wilt be the Last.
May we never thirst
For Thou art the lving waters.
Only by Thy side
May we knowest eternal life.
Though Thy path is
Difficult to treadeth upon,
Exceedingly narrow,
Steep,
And rocky,
We knowest that Thou art faithful
And the one true way.
Thou art our Lord and Protector;
Our Father and our Brother;
Our one true living God.
Thou hath picketh us up
And wipeth away our tears.
Thou standeth by us
Even when we hath
Caused pain unto Thine heart.
Thou welcometh Thy wretched children
When we runneth to Thee
For repentance.
Thou giveth us freedom
And breaketh the bonds of iniquity
The enemy placeth unto us.
We art Thy children,
O glorious Lord.
The road to hell may be broad
And easy to walketh upon,
But Thou remindeth us of a better life;
A better life that
Thine eyes reflecteth,
Eyes that brimmeth over
With love and mercy.
The peace of a silent night
Is unable to competeth
With the calm,
The calm that Thou hath
Compasseth our hearts.
Thou art our inspiration.
O Lord, Thou hath inspired us
To speak,
To love,
To live,
To learn.
Thou art the Great Teacher;
Thou knowest all things.
When fear overcometh us
Thou blanketh us with Thy love
And comforteth us in our darkest hour.
O Lord, Thou art our Heavenly Healer,
Our Compassionate Counselor.
Thy advice is rich with wisdom.
Thou art perfect in all ways.
By Thy greatness
The ground trembleth in fear
Under Thy feet.
Thou art our Lord.
Holy be Thy name,
Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.
*author's note* Re-edited. Read my other poems please. Any constructive criticism is welcomed, not looking for more debates on whose beliefs are truer than the others. I know this poem has what most call biblical language, but that is how I was inspired to write it. I hope whatever readers I attract don't mind. If you believe in God then that is fine with me. If not, then that is fine with me. We were all giving free will to choose. It is not my right to choose that decision or belief for you ^_^. Have a good day and God bless you all.
