Jane walked into work on Monday morning with a spring in her step and a smile on her face. When Jane is happy on a Monday morning, it never goes unnoticed. Jane hates Mondays. Normally she stalks in, coffee in hand, snapping at anyone who breathes on her. Not this morning though. This morning she greeted the uniform at the front desk and smiled at the mailman. Something was definitely going on with Jane.
She sat down at her desk and greeted Frost and Korsak happily. They frowned, "Okay, what's up?" Frost said.
"What do you mean?" Jane asked, "Aren't I allowed to be in a good mood."
"No, not on a Monday morning." Korsak said, "Come on, why so happy? Spill."
Jane shook her head, "No reason." She smiled.
"Ohhhhh!" Frost grinned mischievously, "Janie got some last night! The hickey on your neck speaks for it's self..."
"Fuck!" Jane hissed, flicking her hair down to cover it, "I did not have se-" She paused, "You know what, this is really none of your business!"
"Jane got laid." Frost chuckled.
"Shhhh!" Jane hissed at him.
Luckily they were interrupted by Maura, "Hi!" She smiled brightly as she placed a cup of coffee on Jane's desk. The detective smiled at the beautiful ME appreciatively.
"You know, Doc... Jane seems to be in a awfully good mood for a Monday morning, you wouldn't happen know why, would you?" Frost asked Maura. Jane shot him a glare.
"She even has a hickey.. And I suppose you would know who from, after all she tells you everything." Korsak chimed in.
"Put a sock in it, guys!" She hissed.
Maura arched an eye brow and looked at Jane. Jane shot back a look that said, 'don't you say a word.'
"I probably shouldn't say anything." She said. She walked over to Jane's desk, she bent down and whispered in her ear, "You couldn't even hide the hickey!" She hissed.
Jane frowned at her as Maura lifted her out of her chair my her elbow. "Maura! What-"
"Need to talk to you." She stated, as she dragged her to the elevator, leaving a questioning Frost and Korsak behind.
Maura flicked the elevator off, "You couldn't even hide the hickey! You're going to give us away, Jane! We weren't going to te-" Jane pressed her lips to Maura's, cutting her off. Maura melted into the kiss and wrapped her arms around Jane's neck. Reluctantly she pulled away. "Was that just to get me to stop talking?" Maura said teasingly.
"Are you complaining?"
Maura shook her head. "I still want you to make sure you're more careful, Jane."
"In my defense I didn't know you had given me that."
Maura rolled her eyes, "If you are going to be careless and not check, we can't have morning sex anymore."
Jane huffed, "Fine! I'll be more careful!" She promised.
"Good, I'm glad that is settled." She grinned, "Now I have to be getting to work." She went to go to flick the elevator on, but Jane stopped her.
She put her lips to Maura's neck, "What are you doing, Jane?"
"Getting payback." She said shortly, putting her lips back on Maura's neck.
