A prequel to Name over Mind. Enjoy

Lightning. Thunder.

She loved it, every bit of it. Every storm made her smile. If she could hear the thunder, it meant he was near. If she could see the lightening, it meant he was close enough to hear her, see her. A year. They had been together an entire year and it nearly killed them both. It wasn't safe for either of them. When she got angry, he was no match for her. If he got angry enough or if she uttered the from sentence, he could kill her.

Not exactly what people called romantic.

The thunder rumbled loudly.

After that year, they seemed at odds. If they had stayed together another moment, the world may have gone into another world war, with another world actually involved.

She left him. After that, things got better.

He went home to his own world and she went on living her life.

Lightening flashed in front of her eyes, brightly. She smiled.

"Thor."

She greeted him like an old friend.

"Hello Cas."

The voice came from behind her. She turned around and saw him there. Same out-of-this-world attire and beautiful, blonde hair. He still looked beautiful. She gave him a smile as approached her. His hands touched either side of her face. His eyes... so blue. They were piercing and icy. They melted her heart.

He looked worried, "You're crying."

"I'm happy," she let out a small laugh and touched his hair, "it's been so long. You haven't changed at all."

Thor nodded.

Being a God, even a demi-God, it slowed the aging process. Thousands of years old and he didn't look much older than thirty or so. It was a quite confusing manor. Explaining it to Cas wasn't an easy. Yes they were only together for a year but a person's physical appearance does undergo changes. Eight months in and no changes, Thor finally explained that he was a demi-God and was from another planet.

"You look good. Any changes?"

Cas's smile fell, "No. He hasn't been here."

"But he will come for you."

She nodded. Thor's brother knew how to make him angry. Messing with Cas would defiantly make him angry.

"I will not let him hurt you. I've brought a gift."

Cas cocked an eyebrow, "What gift?" She had looked him over and hadn't seen anything that resembled a gift.

"It is something that will come in handy. It will keep you protected when he comes."

The lightening began to flash and the thunder rumbled, "This may hurt a little." He told her.

"Thor...?"

Before she could hear any kind of response, a bolt of lightening struck her. She felt every nerve in her body become inflamed. Everything hurt and she tried everything in her power to let out some of the pain, tried to scream. Her mouth open but not a single sound was uttered out. When the lightening stopped, her body convulsed for a few extra moments.

Thor watched as Cas lay still. He prayed that she would wake soon. That the gift hadn't killed her. The irony in that.

After a few moments of stillness and silence, she coughed.

"What.. the HELL... was that?"

Thor smiled, "a gift," he went over to her, "now you are protected."

"That hurt!"

"Sorry about that."
