I'm sick so here is a cute sick fic. Day 16 of the 100 Day Drabble Challenge.

"Percy, you have to take your medicine."

"NO! I DON'T WANNA!"

"Perseus Allen Jackson, you take this medicine right this minute!"

"...Okay, mommy."

Six-year-old Percy reluctantly opened his mouth for some of the disgusting green medicine. Even his mother grimaced as she gave him a spoonful. He gulped it down as quickly as he could, but it didn't save him from the icky taste. He gagged and whined, "Mama, it's yucky!"

Sally Jackson nodded sympathetically. "I know, honey. It's gross, but you have to take it or you'll never get better. And now that you've taken it, guess what you can have?"

Percy flashed a gap-toothed grin. "Blue cookies and milk?"

Sally smiled back and tweaked his nose. "Exactly. Blue cookies and milk. You stay put and I'll go get them."

The little demigod bounced up and down on the couch happily. Even though he was sick, his mommy let him have cookies. He knew you weren't supposed to have sweets when you were sick, but his mother was nice enough to let him have them. She was the best mommy in the whole world. The other kids who said that about their mommies were a bunch of big, fat liars.

Suddenly Percy felt himself being swooped up into the air. He let out a happy squeal and kicked his little legs. "Mama!" His mother laughed and plopped back on the couch with him. She held out a blue chocolate-chip cookie, which he immediately took and gobbled up.

"Someone's hungry, eh?" she asked with a small chuckle.

Percy nodded and said through the cookie, "More pwease."

It didn't take long for him to eat the whole plate. He was nearly asleep by the time he was done. Sally smiled down at her half-asleep son and laid him back on the couch. She piled blankets on top of his small body. "Sleep tight, Percy," she said quietly before kissing his forehead and getting off the couch. Walking into the kitchen, she wondered if she should make some more cookies. Oh, what the heck. Sally began searching for the ingredients as she listened to the shallow breaths of a sleeping Percy with a grin stretching her face.
