Short song fic thingy
Just a short song fic thingy. I've been tossing this around in my head for a while now. Basically, the Host Club boys bemoan the fact that Tamaki likes Haruhi and not any of them. (Kyouya finds this especial distressing. Yay for Kyouya/Tamaki!)
The song is "Stepsisters' Lament" from the version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein Cinderella I had the misfortune to be in.

Mori: Why would Tamaki want a girl like her, a frail and fluffy beauty? Why can't Tamaki ever once prefer a solid boy like me?!
Honey: She's a frothy little bubble with a flimsy kind of charm and with very little trouble I could break her little arm!
Kyouya: Oh oh why would Tamaki want a girl like her, so obviously unusual? Why can't Tamaki ever once prefer a usual boy like me?!
Kaoru: Her cheeks are a pretty sort of pink,
Hikaru: but no not any pinker than a rose is.
Kaoru: Her skin may be delicate and soft
Hikaru: but not any softer that a doe's is.
Mori: Her neck is no longer that a swan'
Honey: She's only as dainty as a daisy
Kyouya: She's only as graceful as a bird...
All: So why is the fellow going crazy?
All: Oh why would Tamaki want a girl like her, a girl who's merely lovely? Why can't Tamaki ever once prefer a boy who's merely me?!
Honey and Mori: What's the matter with the man?
Hikaru and Kaoru: What's the matter with the man?
Kyouya: What's the matter with my man?!
