Knuckles picked up his sword and glanced at Sonya. Both dashed forward and gave quick attacks to each other.

Then both started to test their strength.

Then she raised him with her bare hands and kicked him in the abdomen.

She then lifted her sword, but as she was about to impale Knuckles, he ducked and punched her in the stomach with all his might.

She gasped in pain and spat some blood. When she noticed she was bleeding, her eyes started to glow strangely, instead of the normal emerald color; they had acquired a dark yellow tone.

She started to shot numerous fireballs towards Knuckles. The experienced Echidna quickly ducked the fireballs; however, Sonya saw an opening in Knuckles´ defense and quickly attacked him. She caught him by surprise and impaled her sword in his left shoulder, making him collapse in pain.

She came near him and stomped him in the chest, making him spit some blood.

Don´t worry, this shall be over soon – she said as she raised her sword above Knuckles´ head

Knuckles closed his eyes, preparing for the blow.

Then he heard a gunshot…

When he opened his eyes and saw Sonya on the ground contorting in pain, grabbing her knee.
