Ok this is based off of Jane of the Autobots before she lost her family and I don't own any character you might recogniz
Well Jane was currently in a fight and not doing to well when she went down into the ground for the fifth time
"oh that's it!"
suddenly she starts using moves that she had been perfecting before doing them in battle and within hours the battle ended in their favor
"nice work Jane"
"thanks Captain Fairborne"
"so what are you going to do now?"
"help rebuild the town and then go home"
and so that's exactly what she does a few years later she joined the tennis team of her middle school and asked the EDC to help her learn how to play three years later she had developed her own style and asked for help with another project
"are you crazy Jane?"
"no I think this will help more than hinder me"
"but it could take years for you to actually learn how to play that fast"
"I know but I have to try just in case"
"very well we'll help just like we helped you two years ago when you decided to try playing blindfolded"
"it worked didn't it?"
(sighs) "let's just get on with it"
and so they soon find out that it only takes three months and she can play what they called rapid style and then in her junior year she had the craziest idea of them all
"NO not happening Nyet forget it absolutely not, I'm not going through with this plan"
"Marissa listen to me I have to do this for everyone's sake"
"you can't be serious about that"
"Marissa things are changing both in the real world and in school if there's a prolonged match I have to be able to do this plus…I want you to help me turn tennis into a fighting style should we be attacked during a match"
(sighs) "I can't talk you out of this can I?"
"no you can't"
"very well but don't be surprised by injuries you receive"
"of course not"
and so eventually they get both down and of course during graduation everything changes and she has to be able to handle her self in the real world of no family
