AN: This is an AU idea I've been sitting on for a while. let me know what you think and maybe I'll post more.
The legend of dawn.
The galaxy wasn't always like this. The peace that has lasted so long was hard won through war and destruction. In an age almost forgotten there were heroes who fought for humanity against extinction. The relentless convent destroying any life it came across. These heroes were Spartans. Trained from a young age to combat all that threatened humanity. They were infallible solders that kept monsters at bay.
The greatest of these heroes was the master chief, through his efforts the covenant was beaten back and an agreement between humanity and the other spices of the galaxy was forged. No longer would the galaxy struggle against its self, but move together toward a bright future. Sadly the master chief would not see the fruits of his labor. The ship carrying him home from his last battle was sent astray, and now drifts aimlessly through space.
And so the legend goes. It has been two millennia since the epic era of turmoil and the galaxy is headed towards dark destruction once again. Can this legend hold hold the key to bringing the light of dawn back to the hopeful.
