Kitty
Kitty sat down at the bar and ordered a beer, since she was now 22 she had been drinking for 1 year now. She scanned the room, looking for her boyfriend of about 5 years Kurt.
Kitty brushed back a lock of brown hair that escaped her hair clip. Her flawless completion and wide blue eyes made men's heads to turn her direction. She took a sip of her drink and waited.
Kurt walked through the doors of his and Kitty's favorite bar and searched for her. He saw her sitting at the bar with a drink already. He walked up behind her, and said, "Bad day?"
Without turning she replied, "The worst."
'Thought so, what drink number is that?"
"My first, but I'm almost ready for my second." Kitty looked over at her boyfriend as he sat down on a bar stool next to her and ordered a drink for himself.
"Good, I don't want you getting drunk again, that was scary." Kurt smiled at her.
"Well you've gotten drunk before, and have I complained like you have? No I haven't." She answered her own question.
Kurt didn't say anything, he just took a big swig of his beer and thought to himself, damn she got me again.
"You know, I got to thinking about them last night." Kitty sighed.
"You were thinking about them when you were with me? He asked in shock.
"Kurt that was the night before last." Kitty reminded him.
"Oh, I forgot." He said sheepishly.
Kurt caught a glimpse of himself in the bar mirror. His long blackish-blue hair from high school was replaced by a shorter style. His cloths weren't so outgoing any more. He now wore jeans and sweatshirts or slacks. He looked a lot different, but he was still the boy Kitty fell in love with five years ago. He thought happily.
He glanced over at Kitty, wow she's beautiful. Kurt thought dreamily to himself. With her white jeans and tight, low cut sweater, she was definitely classified as hot.
After awhile the couple headed back to their respective places of living, since they had to work tomorrow. Kitty lived at a small apartment building on Front Street, and Kurt lived in a slightly larger apartment on West Side dr. Kitty worked as a teller at the local bank, and Kurt worked down at the docks, loading and unloading crates coming and going to everywhere thought possible in the world.
The city was quiet tonight, Kitty thought to herself as she got ready for bed. After the X-men disbanded, she and Kurt had moved to New Jersey, to one of the beach towns, as Kurt called it. The city was located right next to the ocean, you could actually see in from Kitty's apartment building's window.
One thought crossed each of their minds as they fell asleep, I wonder how the others are?
