I walked away
In fear of her death
A mother so loving
Yet gone from my grasp
Walking up the mountain
Just to see her face
Not knowing I never noticed
My hero following me
Falling slowly…
Seeing him fall
Not knowing
People worried
While I was in a dream
Never to wake
After a long week
I woke to see you
Hearing you blame yourself
Over and over
Until you came to me
And said you'd become stronger
Just for me
Made me feel so happy
And when you promised
"Whenever I'm in trouble, my hero will come to rescue me."
Two years have passed
And we both have grown stronger
Yet I never saw your face
I just waited for you to appear
Then when disaster struck
I cried out in pain
Hating everything about them
Going out to the enemy, and being defeated felt awful

Cloud's POV
My home, my purpose
Was on the verge
Of collapsing
"Mom... Tifa... my town... Give it back."
I will keep my promise
And every promise that will come
He asks once more
"Kill him."
After a long suffering blow
I take my blow stronger than before.
And he falls slowly.

I didn't see him
But I felt him
Yet then I healed
After a long suffering pain.
I lived normal now
Wishing for him to come back…

My piano
Sitting quietly
Waiting to be played
Finding a note
From a former comrade

Empty promises is all I have
Broken and beaten
For all I can do is nothing
But wait…
For what?
Forgiveness.
Dilly-dally Shilly-shally…
If I can be forgiven…

Consciousness comes back to me.
I wake. To see something different

It feels so strange.
