Fire: Hey guys! It's just me this time, so no Ice. This is sorta-kinda-maybe my first one-shot.
She knows him better than anyone.
She knows everything there is about him, from his thoughts about the unchangeable fate, past thoughts that is, to his hatred towards 'youth'.
His eyes. Yes, she can read them like a book. The way they have a spark when he's thinking up a plan to kill the enemy nin, or the way they become visually lighter when he's enjoying the company of someone. She can also recognize the darker shade of his byakugan, which is translated to failiure.
His lips. Although everyone can see that he's happy when he's smirking or doesn't approve of something, she can see deeper. For instance when his lips are unmoving, but the right corner is facing downwards, for maybe a millimeter he is simply trying to bite back a laugh.
His hands. Oh, yes. Those hands, which she dreams of having in her own hair, are caloused and rough and when handling a kunai or weapon are stiff, although not quite as skilled as hers, could kill in an instant. Though, when he tends to her more serious wounds are gentle and treat her skin delicately like she is a flower.
His words and tone. Strange it may be, but she knows what he means with each of his words, the true meaning, not the one he wants others to understand. Like when he 'hns' each of them have a different message, for instance the I'm-doing-fine-thank-you-for-asking 'hn' or the I'm-going-to-kill-Lee 'hn' and even the Hanabi-is-toying-with-the-curse-seal-and-it-hurts- like-hell 'hn'.
His feelings. Over time she has discovered his feelings towards everything, like his favorite food, or his former hatred towards the main branch, that has slowly melted into tolerance, though still not love.
Yes, Tenten does know Neji Hyuuga better than anyone and she will hope until the end of time for it to stay that way, but just as she knows him, she know that someday a beautiful girl, worthy of Neji will know more than her. That girl will know what Neji's eyes look like when he's gazing at someone he loves, although she imagines that they would be glazed. Said girl will also know what his voice sounds when he tells he loves her. She will also learn the way his hands respond when he is handling their children. She will be able to understand his love and return it. And, unfortunately, the girl will also know what his kisses taste like and the smile he will offer after each and every one.

So, you can imagine her surprise upon hearing four words that were meant for the girl, directed towards her.
Oh, god that was horrible, but what would you expect from a drabble which I started writing at 22:37 and finished at 23:03.
