Author's note: This is a Master/Doctor skit reel I came up with. It takes place when they're young and live on Gallifrey. Before the war. There WILL be more of these. I just want to do them in threes. (in case some of you don't know, Theta is the Doctor and Koschei is the Master) So without further delay, here are the skits ^^
In a seemingly endless field of bright red grass, two young children of Gallifrey are playing. The shorter child, Koschei, is chasing the taller, Theta. Theta seems to always be able to outrun Koschei, until he trips over a rock. "Ouch!" he shouts, Theta has hit his knee.
"What's the matter?" Koschei runs over to Theta, already out of breath, "Are you alright?" he asks, kneeling down next to Theta.
"I'm alright, it's just a scratch." Theta rubs his knee and wipes his left eye with his sleeve.
Koschei bites the inside of his cheek, then smiles. "Tag!" he taps Theta on the shoulder, "You're it now."
Theta grins and shoves Koschei jokingly, "You're a real kidder, Kosch."
*NEXT SKIT*
Koschei and Theta, wearing school uniforms, are in the school yard, sitting on the red grass with some of their school mates. Theta is laughing with a girl named Navi, and Koschei is talking to a boy named Aaron.
"No, no, no!" Koschei insists, "They're real! I hear them, can't you? One-two-three-four, one-two-three-four, one-two-three-four!"
Aaron makes a face. "You're mad." he scoffs, "Navi, come on. Mum 'll be here any minute."
"Alright." Navi rolls her eyes, "Bye Theta." she waves as the leaves with Aaron.
Koschei sits, resting his head on his arms- which are on his knees -in a very sad-looking position.
Theta scoots closer, places his left arm around Koschei's shoulders, and says "Don't listen to Aaron, his mum dropped him on his head."
Koschei laughs, then wipes his eyes.
*NEXT SKIT*
It's a cool, mid-summer night. Theta is fast asleep, but woken up by a sound. Tap-tap-tap-tap, tap-tap-tap-tap, tap-tap-tap-tap.
Theta gets up and turns on the lamp next to his bed, then opens his window. Upon seeing Koschei below his window theta whispers, "Oi, do you know what time it is?"
Koschei looks slightly up at Theta, his face stained with tears. "It hurts, Theta..." he says shakily.
Theta's eyes get wide, he holds out his hands, "Come on, get in here, you'll freeze out there."
The two are under a white sheet on the floor with a flashlight, Theta is trying to calm Koschei down. He asks what's the matter, what hurts? "The noise, the drums, they hurt. They're too loud." Koschei whimpers.
"Did you try listening to your records? Putting a pillow over your ears?" Theta asks.
Koschei nods and hugs his knees, "I tried everything. It didn't work."
Theta stares at Koschei, concerned.
"You think I'm mad..." Koschei sniffs. "You think I've lost it just like everyone else does."
"No." Theta says pointedly, "I'd never think that. Never." Theta assures him, "I promise. I believe you."
Koschei looks Theta in the eye, "And how do I know that?"
Theta smiles and takes Koschei's face in his hands, then touches Koschei's forehead with his own. In a few seconds, Koschei is receiving vibes from Theta.
Koschei pulls back, startled. "Did you...?" he trails off.
Theta nods, "Yup. Now you know I can never lie to you."
Koschei smiles.
Author's note: So here ya go, little skits I wrote about the doctor and the master as kids. still gonna write more, this is just the first three ^^ ...oh and what Theta did was establish a psychic link between the two of them, so they're really, REALLY close.
