Summary: He always observed

Disclaimer: I don't own anything that is in this.

His sunglasses were always his disguise.

He would be able to hide behind the tinted glass- observing them. No, not them... him. Just as he always had- nothing had changed when he hid behind the glasses.

He had been there- always so close but far at the same moment. He had always been there to give a snide remark, or give an obvious answer. Sarcasm came like a second nature to him, and he used it to it's full extent, it portrayed that he had no emotion. Maybe one day he would believe that too, that he was an emotionless shell, but the very idea died every time he gazed upon him.

They sat there, snickering at television. Everyone one was there, the whole group, just sitting and watching TV. They would chatter amongst themselves when the commercials came up, but never him, he just observed and maybe offered a snide remark.

He stared at him, bewildered at how someone like him could become friends with someone so... innocent. Friends, the word left a bad taste in his mouth because he wanted more then that. But he knew, knew damn well, that was never going to happen. Scowling lightly he stood up and started to walk back to his small room.

"Hyde, you okay man?" Eric called after him. The ice around his heart melted a little bit more.

"Shut up Foreman." and with that he closed the door. The shades were removed, and a silent wet trail found it's way down his cheek.
