the first thing that shin-chan does when he arrives home is unbandage his fingers, he notes. it's something that he does very often, but each time, he's seemingly more gentle than the last, and it makes him wonder if shin-chan really does believe that he's going to miss, should he even think of being a bit rougher with his hands.
he probably does. in fact, he's certain, because shin-chan always examines them carefully before and after each game. to anyone else, it would be a silly little ritual, to them, it was all a part of who shin-chan is as a person. always neat, precise and always perfect in his eyes.
shin-chan catches his gaze and suddenly, it feels like there's no air in the room to him, but he won't show him that. he'll ignore the thump thumpin his chest and pretend that nothing is happening for right now, and when the right time comes, he'll really catch him off guard.
