Mara sat up against a tree reading her new book,She was getting so into her book that she didn't notice the dark clouds covering the sky.
Then there was a rumble of thunder and Mara looked up.
"Oh no,"Mara muttered.
Mara stood up and started to run back to the house.
As Mara ran the rain came down and the wind started blowing hard.
The wind knocked Mara over and she fell to the ground.
Not knowing she dropped her book Mara got back and up and ran to the house.
Once Mara got to the house she opened the door and went inside.
Mara was panting as she walked to the living room.
"Hey Jerome,"Mara said as she walked over to him.
Jerome looked up at Mara and froze.
"Were you out in the rain?"Jerome asked.
"Yeah I was reading my book and,"
"OH MY GOD MY BOOK I LOST MY BOOK,"Mara yelled realizing she left it outside.
"Calm down,"Jerome said.
"I'M NOT GONNA CALM DOWN,"Mara yelled.
"I'll find your book,"Jerome said.
"Really?"Mara asked.
"Of course,"Jerome said.
"Well alright then,"Mara said.
"Okay I'll be right back I'm going to get my jacket,"Jerome said.
Mara nodded as Jerome walked out of the living room.
Soon he came back with his jacket on.
"Okay what book did you lose?"Jerome asked.
"The Hunger Games,"Mara said.
"Okay I'll be back,"Jerome said.
Jerome walked to the front door and opened it,then out into the rain to find Mara's lost book.
Jerome walked through campus then froze when he saw Poppy, pick something up from the ground and start walking back to the school.
"POPPY,"Jerome yelled.
Poppy turned around to see her brother walk up to her.
"What are you doing here?"Poppy asked.
"I've been trying to find Mara's book and I saw you pick something up,"Jerome said.
Poppy sighed as she gave the book back to Jerome.
"Thank you,"Jerome said.
"Your welcome,"Poppy said.
"Well I better get this back to Mara,"Jerome said.
"Okay see ya around Gerbil,"Poppy said as she walked off.
Jerome smiled as he walked back to the house.
Once he got inside he went back to the living room.
"Hey Mara,"Jerome said.
"Jerome you found it,"Mara said.
"Yeah here you go,"Jerome said handing the book to Mara.
"Thank you so much,"Mara said.
"Your welcome,"Jerome said.
Mara smiled as she leaned up and kissed her boyfriend.
Jerome smiled loving the reward for finding Mara's lost book.
Well this is just a little something I wrote.I got this idea a few days ago,then I got a little bit of writers block. I know the story is short and really boring,there's a few nice parts but all in all I can't bear it... I really think I failed on this story I promise my next story will be better. review and tell me what you think?
