Chapter 1: The Immortal Girl
Leo smiled, the Great War was over and now he could finally fulfill the Oath he made to Calypso over three-month ago. It had taken him longer than expected to fix Festus, and the Astrolabe. Then there was the Gods. They had said that if he proved his love than they would free Calypso. Well, said that, whatever it meant. But he couldn't think about the Goddesses cryptic message now.
The astrolabe kept changing directions, it was maddening! first it would be in the Northeast corner then it was to the west, then the east. Leo was pretty sure Poseidon was doing it on purpose, like "Hey, I'm bored! I think it would be fun to move Ogygia and mess with Leo." Yeah, not funny Poseidon, stupid Sea God...Wait, I hope he didn't hear that...Great now he couldn't focus. Being a demigod really sucked sometimes, Leo thought shaking his head.
Calypso
She sat on the beach, tears silently falling down her face, she missed Leo. She had no idea how long it had been since he had left. He had been so different from the others. When the raft hadn't come he had started working making his own way to get off the island, he had even offered to take her with him. But now he was gone and everything on the island remind her of him. He's touched everything, he fixed her fountain that had leaked, the cave was now his workshop, and the beach the place he landed. Her table still lay in ruins only a few feet from her.
Gods, she couldn't believe she actually was admitting how much she actually missed Leo, the repairman. He truly was different from all the others. His sarcastic remarks, stupid smirk, and the mischief glint in his eyes. He hadn't treated her like a damsel in distress, he treated her like a normal person. Then she fell for him. Then he left.
Then he made the promise on the River Styx. A promise she knew was impossible to keep.
Well, that's what she thought. You should never underestimate Leo Valdez.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter. Its short I know, I promise they will get longer!
