"I met the most amazing guy at the fish market today." Jack said. "But you know what the problem with this country is? Every good-looking guy is either gay or married. Except for you, but you're to young." Alex smiled; Jack had no idea about his secret.
After Alex's Uncle died, MI6 asked him to be an agent for them. He reluctantly agreed, but he was glad he had.
After he arrived, he met a very attractive man at Sayle's Mansion. His name was Yassen Gregorovich. (Yassie for short.)
Alex and Yassen had begun secretly meeting afterwards, and when Yassen's men had found Alex snooping the day before Stormbreaker was launched, Alex and Yassen couldn't help but flirt. (AKA: Throwing R5 at each other.)
But their relationship was truly tested when Alex and Sabina were left dangling from Sayle Tower. Fortunately, true love persevered and Yassen shot Sayle, saving Alex and Sabina.
"Why?" Alex asked his "mortal enemy".
"Sayle had become an embarrassment to the people I work for." Yassen Gregorovich answered.
"What about me?" Alex wanted to know.
"I love you."
"That doesn't change anything. You killed my uncle; you're still my enemy. Unless you persuade me otherwise," Alex grinned.
"I could persuade you," Yassen countered.
"This isn't over."
"Yes, Alex, it is." He paused, thinking about what he should say next, "Go back to school. You know that the people will never accept us. You should forget about me."
"I'll never forget you."
"I won't forget you either." Yassen walked away and sat down in his helicopter. They just stared at each other for one last moment.
"I love you." Alex said, before Yassen left.
"I love you, too." They smiled, knowing that they would be together again someday.
