Once, a long time ago, or maybe just in a different time, there was a lonely man who traveled the stars in a magic blue box. He was mysterious and wonderful and so very sad. He burnt at the center of time and he could see the turn of the universe. And he was lonely, so lonely that sometimes the universe seemed so gigantic and he was all alone running from who knew what and there was no one who could possibly understand his brilliance.

He just kept running, running everywhere but getting nowhere, running away from the war and fire and death in his past and towards something something something he didn't know what, he just knew he had to save people everyone anyone but himself.

So he ran.

Always running never stopping

never stopping. Until one day he met someone. A human. A perfectly ordinary wonderful beautifully human human. A Rose. He grabbed her hand and told her to run, and run they did.

Now the lonely man was still running, but now he was running with someone, and he wasn't quite so lonely anymore.

The Rose and the Lonely Man.

Running all over time and space in his little magic blue box. No one was sure if they followed trouble or it followed them, but they always appeared and saved the day.

They were good for eachother. The Rose made the Lonely Man happy, helped heal his two broken hearts that he had barely known were broken. She showed him that perhaps the universe wasn't so big and mean and lonely after all.

And he showed her the beauty of the stars and all the infinite possibilities of time and space. He showed her that there was more to the world than just her tiny little Earth and her boring little human life. And they were happy together, the Lonely Man and his Rose. The Rose and her Lonely Man. Saving worlds and civilizations and lonely people, together.

When the Lonely Man was captured by his most ancient enemies, the Rose changed. She broke the rules to get back to him, and was given the name Bad Wolf for her fierceness in defending her friends. She vanquished the ancient enemies with a heart of gold.

Years later, the enemies came back. The Lonely Man and the Bad Wolf defeated them together, but when they left The Bad Wolf was pulled away with them to a faraway land, and imprisoned in walls as big as worlds, with the Lonely Man left on the other side.

She swore to herself that she would do whatever it took to get back to the Lonely Man. She never gave up hope, and she's still there today.

The Bad Wolf howling at the stars searching for her mate.

The Lonely Man in his magic box with both his hearts broke in pieces.
