Slamming her fists against the door, Vanessa cursed loudly and then angrily threw the door open. Walking into the small apartment, she cursed again and threw her bag across the room, "What the hell was that?" she shouted at Rebecca, who's only response was to cock her head to the side and ask, "What?"
Doing her best to remain calm, Vanessa took a deep breath and began pacing the room. Finally stopping to lean against the wall she managed to lower her voice and said, "You could've gotten hurt… you could've gotten us killed."
Sighing heavily Rebecca glanced around the room as Vanessa began walking towards her. Crossing her arms she focused on Vanessa but remained still when her sister stopped in front of her sighing, "Rebecca, I get it. You miss them. You miss Dean but you can't-"
Feeling as though something deep inside her chest stirred at the mention of Dean's name, Rebecca's eyes grew wide in anger and instantly she threw herself towards Vanessa.
Pinning her against the wall she shouted, "Don't you dare pretend to know how I feel... to understand what I have gone through! You have no right to tell me how I should act, how I should live my life. You wouldn't even begin to understand the pain the wound deep in my chest feels like after everyday passes thinking about how I could have saved him!"
Watching coldly as her sister stopped struggling, Rebecca let her go and stood back suddenly stunned, "I'm sorry…"
Now sprawled across the floor, Vanessa took deep and hoarse breaths, closing her eyes she tried to regain her normal breathing and after a long moment she sat up slowly and then looked at her sister with watery eyes, "Believe it or not, I do understand. I didn't only lose Sam and Dean, I lost you too. And that alone, is a pain unlike any other."
"You don't get it! That day I lost more than anybody should, I lost Dean... I lost hope. Vanessa, the day Dean died… I lost a baby. Losing him hurt but losing the one thing that would have least given me the opportunity to have some kind of memory of him and that brought hope to a normal life was far worse."
Vanessa's face fell. She had never heard Rebecca admit it out loud and now the actual truth had her stunned, "Rebecca-"
Rebecca shook her head, "Do you get it now? You can never fully know what I live through every day and I doubt you ever will."
Walking towards the door and gripping the doorknob, Rebecca shook her head and then threw it open. Heading out of the apartment and walking towards her 1971 Barracuda, Rebecca sighed heavily as she reached it and realized nobody truly lived happily after when the ones you love are gone.
Hearing something slam against a hard object, Vanessa jumped up from her bed and screamed when she saw Rebecca pinned to the wall. Glancing around the room trying to get her thoughts together, Vanessa ran across the room and tried pulling her sister down.
Failing miserably she stepped back when an overwhelming light exploded throughout the entire room blinding her. Having the panic grow with each second that passed, Vanessa froze in horror when her sister opened her eyes and let out an agonizing yell for help.
Cursing Vanessa tried again to pull Rebecca down and stopped dead when Rebecca suddenly slumped down the wall. Doing her best to catch her, Vanessa grunted when she caught her and then placed her on the ground. Having tears form in her eyes when she realized she wasn't breathing, Vanessa hugged her sister tightly and leaned against the wall crying silently.
