" Perry, wake up. "
The older man stirred a little bit and snuggled closer to JD.
" PER-RY. " JD whisper-yelled to the man sleeping beside him.
Perry opened his eyes slightly and glared. "Newbie, what in God's name possessed you to wake me up at- " he looked at the clock and then angrily back at JD. " 3:20 in the morning?! "
" You were born right now exactly 45 years ago. Happy birthday. " JD grinned and turned on his stomach. A bow was stuck to his back. " I'm your present. "
Perry raised an eyebrow at the younger man, trying to process what had just happened.
" What are you gonna do with your present, Perry? "
" Oh, I have an idea. "

" JD, what happened to your mouth? " Carla and Turk stared at him in horror.
The skin around JD's mouth was red and his lips were swollen.
" Dr. A-hole over there duct-taped my mouth shut last night, after I tried to give him his birthday present. "
Perry spun around and squinted at JD. " What was that, Dana? "
" I said, Dr. A-HOLE duct-taped my mouth last night, and he's not getting sex for a month!! " JD yelled before storming off. As he'd almost left the room completely, he turned around and yelled, " Happy Birthday, jerk! "

They were sleeping, JD on the couch and Perry in the bed. JD still had not forgiven Perry for the poor treatment.
" Newbie. " Nothing.
" Newbie, wake up. "
The younger man stirred and cuddled closer to the back of the couch.
" NEW-BIE. " Perry whisper-yelled to the man sleeping below him.
JD opened his eyes slightly and glared. " What do you want? " JD glanced at the clock which read 3:20am.
" It's been exactly 1 day since you got mad at me. I got you a present. " Perry reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring box. Then, he got down on one knee. " Marry me? "
JD raised an eyebrow at the older man, trying to process what had just happened.
" Whadda say? " He grinned his signature grin, though his heart was pounding in his chest.
JD just stared at the box. Then at Perry. Then back at the box.
Then, he simply nodded.
Perry put the ring on his finger and JD leaned forward to kiss him.
" Just think, Perry. Only 29 more days and i'll show you how much I love this ring. " JD smirked and laid back down on the couch.
Perry stood over him and gaped down at his fiancee.
" Good night, Perry. Love you. "
