Disclaimer: I don't own Twilight. I am only bombarded by interesting ideas involving the characters.

A woman with long brown hair dressed in a black and white ball gown, black elbow length gloves and a black sequined domino runs in an empty train station screaming. The screams are ones of terror not for being chased nor are the screams for another. Her terror is for herself, stemming from being bitten by an unknown man who leapt from the shadows as she walked home after a party. Now two identical and evenly spaced puncture marks are resident on her throat lazily bleeding freely.

The man was a vampire she knew, not something most humans would believe in. Nor is the woman a typical human. Her family is composed of people a little less than normal.

As she screams the pain seeps through her body burning like a fire of blood and metal as it pushes through her veins. Sounding like beats of the harshest drum echoing in the empty station her heart slows even while she runs. Soon enough beats begin to drop from the normal rhythm of her heart. Her screams echo not forming words, not begging help or even calling vainly for those she knew. The screams are simply an expression of fear, loss and inescapable overwhelming pain.

Moments later she looks around still seeing no one. Seconds drag on for minutes, the woman drops to her knees and crawls forward trying helplessly to reach her family.

A few feet later her heart stops, and her breath ceases as the pain and fire takes over.

A strange pounding not coming from her heart echoes in the corridor. Her world turns black as two shoes come into her view.

The shoes stop immediately in front of the prone women. She never hears the voice calling to her.

"Bella!" A musical voice shouts sounding as though he himself were in great pain.

The owner of the black shoes picks the woman-Bella up from the floor and runs the way he came. In the early morning sun his skin sparkles as they run past the doors to the train station.

What do you think? Should I leave it a one shot, or should I use it as a jumping point for a longer tale ?
