Mina looked over at her older brother Matt. Matt was sound asleep on the bed, his breathing softy and even. She slowly went over to him and shook him gently. He opened his eyes and said tiredly " what is it Mina? I'm exhausted I have not slept for a few days you know that" " I know but Matt, I have news, they found Mello" Matt's eyes shot open and he sat up " Dead, alive what?" he demanded " He is alive Matty calm down, he has a really bad burn on the left side of his body but he is ok" " Good, thank you for waking me" Matt said gratefully, then said " climb up next to me Mina- natt there's no way I'm sleeping now" " nope lay down Matty Ill give you medicine to help you sleep you need the rest" " No Mina I don't need that shit, all I need to do is smoke a cigarette that will relax me" Matt pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter and after a few seconds the room was filled with the warm tobacco smell Mina had smelled since childhood and loved so much. Matt held out his hand and she climbed up into his arms. He held her gently and said " Min relax" " that's your job" she said " sleep big brother" He sighed and said " let me guess you wont rest until I do?" " exactly" she said. Matt sighed and put out his cigarette in the ashtray next to his bed, then pulled Mina into his arms. Mina sighed and allowed Matt to hold onto her until he fell asleep.
